Loved it!--Great job adapting a wonderful bookI loved the book, and I love what they've done with it for the movie. Yes, changes were made, but masterfully. My wife and I actually really like and prefer some of the changes that were made. What's more, I was delighted at the way it was tastefully done, without lewd sex scenes or foul language. (There's one sensual scene where the assumption is that they had premarital sex but there's no nudity and it's off-screen/concealed.) I appreciated the realistic faith-development of the main character and the inclusion of God's providential role even in tragedy. I like the ending on the movie better than the book! Great movie to possibly watch with teens and talk about the many circumstances and character actions just ripe for dialogue and reflection regarding our own values and "what would I do in this situation?".CrgedelenScore: 5/5

NO AUDIOI tried downloading this film twice. The audio is completely silent. If I switch to Spanish, I get the movie, but for English - total silence.
Also, the HD and SD selection is screwy. The iTunes customer support person said he'd refund the price and I could try downloading the HD person. iTunes said I already had done so - in other words, both the SD and HD buttons were for the SD movie - a movie without a soundtrack in English..Furutan1Score: 1/5

A Very Short Version of the BookI gave this 4 stars because it was a decent capsule shot of the original book which is over 1200 pages and has immense complexity which could never be portrayed in a two hour movie. The movie has a few plot digressions from the actual story, but the characters are portrayed well. I would say that much in the movie is hard to understand without knowing the book details. Having just finished the novel, I would say that the novel is so complex that you almost need a study book to follow the path..LassooedScore: 4/5
