Middle-class housewife Kay Miniver deals with petty problems. She and her husband Clem watch her Oxford-educated son Vin court Carol Beldon, the charming granddaughter of the local nobility as represented by Lady Beldon. Then the war comes and Vin joins the RAF.

Very Powerful and Extremely Well DoneI am a teenager and I absolutely love watching films and critiquing them. I especially enjoy old films and when I watched Mrs. Miniver I was truly moved. This movie is definitely a must-see. You have got to see it at least once, its that good. It's no wonder the movie did so well with awards and nominations and all that. To see the characters grow and change through life in London in the early WWII is very well done. There are points where you will occasionaly laugh, but be sure you have a box of tissues ready at hand. This movie keeps you on your toes and has a great plot. Greer Garson does an amazing job alongside Walter Pidgeon (Who is familiar to me as a much older Morbious in the movie: The Forbidden Planet). You'll love it because it is so real and shows you how life really is to be in war..Score: 5/5
The movie Winston Churchill Said helped the war effort than 1000 battleships!What a movie!!! With a buildup like that, it's hard to find fault with this movie. It was wonderfully acted, the cast was fabulous, scenery, music and everything we may not notice when it was perfect, was. Most of all, was this wonderful actress, Greer Garson, Who by just a raise of her eyebrow, to a huge smile and hug to her children, or the warmth and love she felt for her husband,and the way she treated friend and neighbors, you could tell every emotion she was feeling. This story rips my heart out, but makes me proud at the same time. I just discovered this wonderful movie a couple of years ago, and now, my teenage son, and 10 yr old daughter ask to watch it with me! By the end, there isn't a dry eye anywhere, not even my Military husband, or my tough guy teen! What a movie!!!.Score: 5/5
GreatestI can't say enough good things about this movie. If you like an old bloodless war film full of love, humor, society manners, scenery, characters, this is it. A real page turner. I'm not ignoring the superb acting or filming when I praise the direction and production, but to get the surprise and predictability into the show like this one is rare..Score: 5/5
