What the...?It isn't about hand holding and wanting to shut off but about being entertained. This movie doesn't do that. It is nice to wile the evening away, and you shut it off for a few minutes at any moment. get some popcorn, fill your soda....put the kids to bed. YOu will not be lost as the story is easy to pick up, once you get used to the random jarring flashback points. While the plot line was ok it was far from a suspenseful thriller. Both Julie Roberts and Clive Owen were better then the movie. they are superb actors what failed was the story. The premise is about 2 secret agents falling in love and deciding to become corporate spies. Then by playing the game they would make themselves rich. While not trying to reveal the "twist" at the end the plan goes awry. Still the ending leaves you flat. There is no twist and the one that could be considered a twist is highly predictable. the only tension in the movie is whether or not the main characters relationship will survive the movie. The comedy is weak and nothing more then cynical deadpan delivery of a spy who has seen too much and comes off as harsh and cold. Watch it if you must, but do not think it is a suspenseful spy movie nor a comedy..Score: 2/5
Watched 3 times already and it's still unclear, unbelievable and unlikeable.I tried to like this movie because I enjoy the cast and director's previous works and the premise of the movie is interesting. I don't mind the movie being disjointed, however, it's unclear to viewers if we are watching a past event or a present event. They started the movie with a blurb, "5 years ago..." and (imo) they should have done that with each visit to a past event. Perhaps my I.Q. is too low to be able to comprehend the transition but based on other reviews, I find comfort that I'm not the only one who noticed this 'event confusion'. As a side note, it seemed to me that the chemisty between the 2 leads was amiss. Clive just didn't seem to be into Julia..Score: 3/5

Boring, uninspired ,and totally forgettable.This movie tries to be an Oceans knock-off but instead it is lifeless jumble of dialogue wrapped around a totally boring story and presented like the steady output of a sausage grinder with no ups or downs, no rhythm, and directed with absolutely no story-telling ability whatsoever. Between the editing and direction this is a prepackaged box office bomb designed to ruin the careers of both persons. Plus there is absolutely no chemistry whatsoever between Roberts and Owen - like a coiuple of dead fish. At least they got a paycheck..Score: 1/5

Moderately goodThis movie attempts to do what Ocean's Eleven did with cards and slight of a hands to business spying. The dialogue is clever and the jumping backwards and forwards is indeed a brain teaser. The problem is that unlike Ocean's Eleven there is not the same satisfying ending that leaves you feeling awesome. The film just falls off the edge of the cliff without the conclusion that you want. Maybe that is a desirable trait for other films but for a film that tries to be suspenseful, it ruins the ending. This movie clever despite what others say, but it doesn't follow through the way that it should..Score: 3/5
Corporate Shenanigans & Razor Sharp DialogNot since Moonlighting and Philadelphia Story have I found a movie/TV show that delivers such rapid fire dialogue and intricate maneuvering between characters. Extremely well written, decently acted and produced with aplomb this movie satisfies intellectually. The opening credits is pure genius and sets the tone for the entire movie. Well done!.Score: 5/5
A little boring...While not horrible, the characters seemed shallow, the plot was very weak, two great actors but no chemistry and bad script. Keep browsing for another title and save your money. They just couldn't pull this one off, maybe a better director, and better script. oh well..Score: 2/5

Entertaining but could've been more...It was fun and had some excellent moments but overall the flick was a little disjointed and lacking the attention to detail in editing that would've made it more enjoyable for the viewers. I would watch it again just to see if I could get more out of it, as I know the plot was interesting and the cast is so fantastic. Something just felt like it was missing though....Score: 4/5
