Deutsch Die drei „Ice Age“-Helden Diego, Sid und Manni haben die große Schmelze aus dem zweiten Teil überstanden. Ellie und Manni, die beiden Mammuts, erwarten Nachwuchs und Sid hegt ebenfalls den Gedanken, die Familiengründung so langsam zu beginnen. Dass er sich dazu die Eier eines T-Rex Weibchens zu eigen macht, stößt bei dieser nicht gerade auf Wohlwollen. Kurzum wird Sid verschleppt und findet sich einer schier ausweglosen Situation in einer großen Dinosaurier-Welt wieder. Nun sind seine Freunde gefragt, denn nur sie können das Faultier befreien.

Manny och Ellie väntar sin första baby-mammut, Diego funderar på om hans nya umgänge gjort honom till en mjukis och Sid är stolt familjefar till ett gäng dinosaurieägg som han hittat och tagit med sig hem. Det visar sig dock inte vara det bästa sättet att bilda familj på så för att rädda Sids sengångarskinn måste hela gänget bege sig till en värld under jorden där de träffar på dinosaurier, ovälkomnande växter och en ettrig enögd dinosauriejägare vid namn Buck.

Italiano Manny e Ellie stanno per avere un bambino e la novità sembra sconvolgere qualche equilibrio. Diego sente di non avere più lo smalto di una volta mentre Sid desidera sperimentare la "maternità" a tutti i costi, anche se si tratta di dover badare a tre cuccioli di dinosauro nati da uova trovate per caso. Una nuova avventura al salvataggio proprio di Sid e l'incontro con un nuovo personaggio (Buck) serviranno a riunire il branco.

Miközben megpróbálják kirángatni Sidet a bajból, még nagyobba kerülnek, a földalatti világba, ahol még mindig a dinoszauruszok uralkodnak.

Scrat continua intentant apoderar-se de la molt esvarosa gla (mentrestant, potser, troba el vertader amor); Manny i Ellie esperen el naixement del seu mini-mamut; Sid, el mandrós, es fica en un bon embolic en formar de sobte una família pròpia després de trobar-se uns ous de dinosaure; i Diego, el tigre de dents de sabre, es pregunta si passar tant de temps amb els seus amics no li estarà tornant massa "blanet". A fi de salvar l'infortunat Sid, la colla s'endinsa en un misteriós món subterrani, on tenen alguns enfrontaments amb els dinosaures, toregen amb una embogida flora i fauna, i coneixen una mostela torta i implacable caçadora de dinosaures anomenada Buck.

Hrvatski Prijateljstvo ljenivca Sida, mamuta Mannyja i sabljozubog tigra Diega na kušnju stavlja očekivana prinova u mamutskoj obitelji (Mannyjeva je družica Ellie trudna), no kad se Sid nađe u pogibeljnoj situaciji svi su tu da mu pomognu. Naime nespretni je Sid u želji da i sam ima obitelj "usvojio" tri velika jaja, a njegova skrb o njima rezultirala je trojicom slatkih mesoždera za kojima traga njihova prva, T-Rex majka. Važne lekcije o vrijednosti obitelji i odanosti prijateljima ovaj crtić prenosi nepretenciozno i s mnogo topline.
