From the writer-director of Napoleon Dynamite comes another quirky comedy about growing up. Benjamin (Michael Angarano), home-schooled by his eccentric mother (Jennifer Coolidge), is a loner whose passion for writing leads him on a journey as his story first gets ripped off by a legendary fantasy novelist, Ronald Chevalier (Jemaine Clement), and then is adapted into a disastrous movie by the small town's most prolific homespun filmmaker.
A teenager attends a fantasy writers' convention where he discovers his idea has been stolen by an established novelist.

Awesome Indie Film!This film has great individual performances for every character. Hollywood critics just don't seem to get small-town America. This a great David and Goliath type story. I laughed out loud regularly. Having lived in rural America, when I was young, this brought back tons of memories through these characters. I could relate to the Kid's imagination, the Mom's outdated drive for success and the independent film maker brought it all together. Indie film lovers should get a good kick out of this one!!!.Score: 5/5

Same vibe as Napoleon Dynamite... Funny!If you like Napoleon Dynamite, you should like Gentlemen Broncos. It has a similar vibe, in that there is a bunch of awkward pauses and dead-pan stares. I had to rewind it a few times because I was laughing so hard in some parts I misses some of the dialogue. I think it's a great movie to buy or at least rent!.Score: 5/5
This is a very good movieI can see how "normal" people would not like this movie. But if you like dry strange humor, you will love this. I absolutely adore this movie. There are so many nuances in the humor that are amazing. It really shows how mundane our society is too in a way and it is actually kind of real. Added bonus, if you can get your significant other to like this movie, and you like it too you are onto something. It is a good relationship test movie..Score: 5/5
Gentlemen BroncosAlthough I didn't laugh as many times as I did in Napolean Dynamite, I laughed much harder. While I can see why people said there were some gross-out parts I didn't think it detracted. I am a 27 year old girl who found this movie quite entertaining, plenty of one liners, awkward moments (which are my favorites) and amazing costuming. Don't expect too much, it's a complete spoof. If you can take it for what it is, I'll think you'll be just fine. There is no moral of the story, no amazing plot or special effects, and it's not a social commentary on homeschoolers. Hess hones in on the not so cool public school kid in Napolean Dynamite and now his protagonist is a group of not so cool homeschoolers. (Homeschoolers need not be offended as that is not really the point of the story). In fact there is very little point to the story... that in itself is the point. So sit back and enjoy the awkwardness!.Score: 4/5
Worst Movie EVERI never leave reviews of movies on iTunes, but this one was so bad I felt obligated to try to save others from viewing even a few minutes of this one. Not funny, not well-written, and not a single laugh to be found. I don't know who wrote a blank check to this guy to make this movie without reading the script, but whoever it was is undoubtedly unemployed in the industry at this time. Just an unwatchable, disgusting attempt at humor that falls extremely short of any expectations you might have had for a follow-up from the man who gave us the excellent Napoleon Dynamite. Need to be able to appreciate the bizarreOkay movie. You definitely need to be able to appreciate bizarre thinking. Special sense of humour required, but oh so hilarious!!!Let me just say that most of my friends and family wouldn't like this movie and are probably deeply disturbed that I do like it. I once suggested to some friends that if you like Monty Python for the sheer absurdity and not for its pop culture exploitation, then this movie is for you. I love absolutely every scene and while completely ridiculous, there was barely a moment where I wasn't smiling or laughing. One of the rare times where a movie was even funnier than the trailer. It was completely worth the rental and I'm likely going to buy now..Score: 5/5

A-m-a-zingThis is just great... if anyone who was like or was friends with guys like these in high school or even still today you and your friends will love it. I myself had friends like this and was at a time this hardcore into things that the seriousness of everything became humorous because it was so unimportant that it became everything to you. Messed up....If you loved Napoleon Dynamite you will diffidently love this movie. It's not for everyone. My wife said it was 2 hours of her life she'll never get back but I was laughing so hard I was crying. These directors are so messed in the head. How do they even come up with this stuff.
