Bowling for Columbine is an alternately humourous and horrifying film about the United States. It is a film about the state of the Union, about the violent soul of America. Why do 11,000 people die in America each year at the hands of gun violence? The talking heads yelling from every TV camera blame everything from Satan to video games. But are we that much different from many other countries? What sets us apart? How have we become both the master and victim of such enormous amounts of violence? This is not a film about gun control. It is a film about the fearful heart and soul of the United States, and the 280 million Americans lucky enough to have the right to a constitutionally protected Uzi.

A movie based on untruth = propagandaWow, where to start. This movie, as with all of Moore's movies, is based completely on misleading questions that are cut together after interviews to change the topics and tones of the conversations. There are so many movies, papers, interviews and articles debunking everything he stated in this movie that if you think it's actually serving some good, other than showing how easily the American people believe something they see on a TV screen, then you're in for trouble. Moore is just as good as any conservative talk show host in expressing his point without true facts and burning every bridge along the way. Moore's entire life is based on a fabrication and this movie smacks with dramatization and left-wing propaganda. Just ask Ralph Nader who Moore really cares about..Score: 1/5

What a Surprise?Not only is this film informative and well done, it’s in general a real eye opener. It’s funny because I came to this listing to see from my phone if I owned it on my Apple TV. I saw the low ratings and thought ‘That’s odd’. Are people allowed to dislike MM? Sure! But was the general public THAT disappointed in it? Nope. No chance. So I’m talking to myself thinking who would bother coming to write a negative review of a movie that’s been out for so long? I joked- Gun People? Jokes on me because all of the negative reviewers are NRA wannabes. If you don’t like him, good god, don’t watch this movie. If it’s bumming you out, for heaven sakes turn it off.
