The Canadian policeman Louis Burke is assigned in a jail to investigate the murders of prisoners and jailors. When in jail, Louis, using his outstandings martial arts skills, is able to save his life and make himself respected in that violent world. At least, helped by two another prisoners, he succeded in finding the truth about the dreadful crimes. In a violent and corrupt prison, decorated cop Louis Burke must infiltrate the jail to find answers to a number of inside murders. What he finds is a struggle of life and death tied in to his own past.

The best!!This was the best damme movie lol...As far as it had no story is un true.There is a mystery van damme is trying to solve and the mysterius things happening was exciting.It was action from beggining to end.And his other movie "in hell" had quite a long boring part.This is way better trust me.You guys should check out "no retreat no surrender" was before blood sport and is real good..Johnydee187Score: 5/5
Moving his way up in HollywoodAt the time Van Damme was coming off the success of some earlier movies like Cyborg and Kickboxer which helped him go theatrical with Lionheart and Death Warrant. This movie had cool action and suspense but lacked a story. I reccommend "In Hell" , another prison movie from JCVD which is a lot better..Lay LeeScore: 3/5

Grazie ad Amanda Beckett agente di tramite da Burke e l'esterno si viene a sapere che quelli uccisi erano risultati idonei alla visita medica. All'interno del carcere Burke conosce due carcerati di colore: Hawkins (Robert Guillaume) e il pittoresco "Prete".
