Not impressedI really wanted to like this movie. I like Robert Rodriguez movies but this one seemed to fall flat. The writing was bland, and the plot was sub-par. Excellent movieOverall a well done film, predators look perfect and CGI is used in good taste. The acting is decent but the characters aren't particularly inspiring and at times take away from quality of the movie itself. Spend your two hours some other wayDespite the impressive cast list, this movie falls into the pattern of well worn cliches and predictable dialogue. The music is the same as the Arnie original, but rather than an homage, it just plays like a remake of lesser calibre. Adrien Brody and Laurence Fishburne are utterly wasted, give recycled garbage for material. What could have been an interesting concept, was botched by a mediocre director. While waiting for this sequel, the fruit rotted on the vine. Only a real diehard with nothing better to do should waste 2 hours on it..Ed reviewScore: 2/5

Pretty GoodI have to say I was pleasantly surprised by this. I personally found the "Aliens versus Predator" films rather disappointing, and Predator 2 didn't even come close to the original. But I found this one to be on par with the original in terms of enjoyability. Sure, the plot was somewhat predictable, but on the other hand there were a few nice twists. It's not the sort of film you watch for the deep plot anyway. The special effects were quite good and the action well done. Another pleasant surprise was Adrien Brody. He's no Arnold, but he pulled it off quite nicely nevertheless, I thought. The other actors did their parts well, too. This is not a masterpiece of filmmaking by any means, but in keeping with the original, some good action and suspense. I really appreciated the soundtrack which harkened back to the original. Overall, definitely worth renting, and if you're a big Predator fan, owning..N. WansbutterScore: 4/5

As good as it gets.There are no bad things about this movie, what made it better than the first is the story, which made it even better is the emotion it brought, the good and the bad in people. 4 stars only because i only give 5 stars to movies that pull me in with emotion, if i can see myself as a charater in the story it is much more enjoyable and intense but there was simply no one i could see as me (17). It will have a much greater emotional impact for an older audiance (25+) and maybe someone that has seen or done wrong in there life. Tip buy the 18A version and for anyone who read its predictable dont listen, just watch the movie and enjoy. Not Very GoodIn comparison to other Hollywood flicks, the acting skills were subpar. The plot was weak. The main character was acting tough, if he was a truly good actor, his character just would have been tough. I've preferred other Predator movies over this one. They could have done so much better. And even have Laurence Fishburne (spelling?) in the movie when he gets killed a few mins later? What was the point of him getting killed. Too many holes.....Medicryan911Score: 2/5
