Red Hill follows young police officer Shane Cooper (Kwanten) as he relocates to the small country town of Red Hill with his pregnant wife Alice to start a family. But when news of a prison break sends the local law enforcement officers—led by the town’s ruling presence, Old Bill (Bisley)—into a panic, Shane’s first day on duty rapidly turns into a nightmare. Enter Jimmy Conway (Lewis), a convicted murderer serving life behind bars, who has returned to the isolated outpost seeking revenge. Now caught in the middle of what will become a terrifying and bloody confrontation, Shane will be forced to take the law into his own hands if he is to survive.

Not an oscar winnerCouldve been great if we new more about the characters so we care if they die. The guy from the vampire hbo show added a good b horror comedic type character that was good and the aborigine killer was sick. Modern western part was cool.... If you need a more sophisticated review you are over analyzing movies and wouldnt like it.Score: 4/5

Everyone in Red Hill is a jerkIt should be a red flag when everyone you meet is unfriendly and has a massive attitude problem that the town has a secret, and that you moved to the wrong place. The film would have worked a whole lot better, and been a whole lot more interesting if the characters were likable first. Just saying. This isn't anything like No Country for Old Men. At all. This is a "cop on his first day on a new job movie that goes sideways into a revenge plot that he has absolutely nothing to do with, and for most of the film is left out of the action" movie. Seriously he got carried out of town and dropped off at one point. He has to walk back into town like 3 times! It has a lot of needless shotgun racking, and idiotic character behavior, but it also has some well shot sequences..Score: 3/5

Found On FlightI was surprised to see a good movie on a flight from NYC to Melbourne,Australia the Aussie airline was Playin this and I loved it(I mean what else can u do on a nonstop 23hr flight!).this was my first trip to down under and found alot of interesting movies there I love movies from all over but never really got into the Aussies flims......until now!,well that and my wife is australian.Kudos on the filing,acting and killer yet somber soundtrack this movie will keep u goin till the end.Score: 4/5
