I Love You Phillip Morris Film Synopsis
Steven Russell leads a seemingly average life – an organ player in the local church, happily married to Debbie, and a member of the local police force. That is until he has a severe car accident that leads him to the ultimate epiphany: he’s gay and he’s going to live life to the fullest – even if he has to break the law to do it. Taking on an extravagant lifestyle, Steven turns to cons and fraud to make ends meet and is eventually sent to the State Penitentiary where he meets the love of his life, a sensitive, soft-spoken man named Phillip Morris. His devotion to freeing Phillip from jail and building the perfect life together prompts him to attempt (and often succeed at) one impossible con after another.

The Only Truth is the QualityCon after con after con, Jim Carrey convinced me in his deceitful role. Ewan was very good at being gay (it's not an easy task for straight men), and I wanted to hug him in this role even more than Moulin Rouge. Bravo, boys! I laughed! I cried! Best romantic comedy!This movie blew me away! Everything from classic romantic comedies is reinvented in the most relatable way. I actually enjoyed seeing this movie because not once did I feel like I've heard this story before (although based on a true story) and I love that because everything out there seems to be recreated just to make Jennifer Aniston or Owen Wilson another buck. Jim Carrey and Ewan McGregor prove to me how truly fantastic actors they are. Even with how this movie is set, I would of never guessed how much of a good and authentic role they can play, having seen most of their movies on top of that. LOVE IT!!!.Nicole099Score: 5/5

Different And Confronting"I Love You, Phillip Morris" is not an easy watch. The Rotten Tomatoes review are somewhat misleading. The film itself is quite entertaining, the humour can be quiet farcical, but the drama is very unsettling. When Jim Carrey and Ewar McGregor act, the keep you drawn into the story, but the story itself is quite strange. The tenderness is very touching, but in an effort to realistically portray a Gay, sexual relationship, it can be very confronting!
