Felicity Merriman (Shailene Woodley - TV's "The O.C.") lives in Williamsburg, Virginia, in 1775, just before the Revolutionary War. Elizabeth, newly arrived from England, becomes Felicity's best friend. The girls' friendship is put to the test when Felicity's family supports independence in the Colonies while Elizabeth's family remains loyal to the king. Meanwhile, Felicity tries to help a mare escape its abusive owner. Also starring Academy Award-winner Marcia Gay Harden ("Mystic River," "Space Cowboys"), John Schneider (TV's "Smallville," TV's "Dukes of Hazzard") and Kevin Zegers ("Virginia's Run").
Pre-American Revolution Virginian girl whose love for the outdoors leads to the friendship of a lifetime. Felicity loves horses, and though her parents plead with her to remain indoors, she years to ride the open plains. When Felicity comes into contact with a beautiful mare which has suffered at the hands of its callous owner, she takes it upon herself to care for the creature.

Well MadeThis movie was indeed well made. The score very pertinent, and the story well paced. The only indifference I have is that the overall populace of the period were quite a bit more in tune with God, and healthy dependance on faith, both in their attitude and conversation.
