Director Steven Spielberg takes us back to the scene of Jurassic Park in The Lost World, the blockbuster sequel with even more dinosaurs, more action and more breathtaking visual effects than its record-breaking predecessor. The Lost World remains among the most successful films of all time and features an all-star cast including Jeff Goldblum, Julianne Moore and Pete Postlethwaite. It has been four years since the disaster at Jurassic Park and two groups are in a race against time that will determine the fate of the remote island's prehistoric inhabitants.

Four years after Jurassic Park's genetically bred dinosaurs ran amok, multimillionaire John Hammond shocks chaos theorist Ian Malcolm by revealing that he has been breeding more beasties at a secret location. Malcolm, his paleontologist ladylove and a wildlife videographer join an expedition to document the lethal lizards' natural behavior in this action-packed thriller.

Not as good as the first JURASSIC PARK movie from 1993.Since the first JURASSIC PARK movie came in JUNE 11th 1993, I would prefer the 1993 one then this 1997 one, and also sequels of second ones arn't as good as first ones..EMilyinAKScore: 3/5

A mediocre sequel to an absolute classicA grim, boring waste of time. The first two acts are an absolute slug, and the movie never really finds its footing. It's a nicely shot film, I'd give it that, and the final rampage in San Diego is pretty fun to watch, but overall, it feels very cold and cynical, and sorely lacks the warmth and sense of wonder that made the original Jurassic Park such a classic..HAL 237Score: 2/5

Poor Script & Horrible ActingPotential to be better than the initial film was missed. Not sure why many of the originals didn't return, but the replacements were horrible. Excellent visuals being more elaborate than the original and concept was good, it was wasted on the poor direction.
