No one who witnessed the lunar landing will ever forget it. Episode 3 jumps the sharkFor such a solid start with appropriate accuracy given it’s an alternate reality take, episode 3 is a catastrophic in flight emergency. The almost all-female episode forces today’s social movements into the space race in an awkward, forced, and disingenuous manner. Yes, the space race was dominated by white males. But it was what it was. Trying to shoe horn a group of diverse women astronauts into the story line is like trying get someone to eat one of those fake beef patties and say it’s real beef. It might taste like the real thing but we all know it isn’t. As one of the wives says, they (the newly minted female astronauts) haven’t trained and sacrificed the way the military pilots did, and aren’t capable of what they are. Duh? Naval training for years vs a woman with 750 hours in a DeHavilland Beaver? It’s a disgrace to the men and their families who sacrificed so much to achieve such greatness. But hey Neil Armstrong, some blonde picked by Nixon can fly as well as you in one episode! That really happened right? If you want a show that rewrites history along lines that those born after 1990 might enjoy, sure go for it. But if you are a fan of the true history and reality of the space race you will be pulling your hair out long before the badly recreates CG bounce of one of the females on landing. Apple+ subscription ends today. Hope it works out. Probably will because so few actually know history or respect it. Plenty of opportunities for a female-centric space show. Just don’t hijack the history for your metoo movement. And the female story line was a slog to get though. Maybe you should have tried a couple gay Apollo astronauts. May have boosted the ratings while sinking your credibility further into a deep lunar crater..Score: 1/5
Multiple Missions Shown as OneStunning unseen NASA footage of testing and the Apollo and Gemini missions, all rolled into a collage to represent a single mission to the moon, all the while, the thirteen astronauts who flew in the Apollo missions, speak of their experience’s. If you watch it with the subtitles on, they will give the last name of the astronaut who is speaking. It is a confusing style of filming a documentary, but if you understand that it is footage of multiple missions shown in a way to represent one mission, it will make better sense..Score: 5/5
A Must See for All Space EnthusiastsFor the 44th anniversary of our having landed on the Moon for the first time, this documentary of breathtaking and stunning video and personal accounts of our first step onto a celestial body beyond our own was quite fitting to see. Ditto a Must See!!This is a amazing production. A master class is editing! From a different perspective it reminds of the time that we were the leaders in technology, and how we were proud to be Americans. Apollo was not a photo opportunity for any propaganda machine. This is a must see movie. It might be tough for you if you do not know the history as different clips from different missions and they are intermixed - nonetheless it is a wonderful movie..Score: 5/5

Hands down the best science fiction of our era….BUT… Apple has completely ruined it. They have taken an absolutely riveting concept with an unprecedented take on what the space race should have been and turned it into a woke platform for social justice warriors. I was willing to put up with it until season 3, but it became unbearably unrealistic. Nice try, sincere thanks for season 1. If you cut out the crap and drama, this would be the best show I’ve ever see ..Score: 1/5
