Cataleya is a young woman who has grown up to be an assassin after witnessing the murder of her parents as a child. Turning herself into a professional killer and working for her uncle, she remains focused on her ultimate goal: to hunt down and get revenge on the mobster responsible for her parents’ deaths.

After witnessing her parents’ murder as a child in Bogota, Cataleya Restrepo grows up to be a stone-cold assassin. She works for her uncle as a hitman by day, but her personal time is spent engaging in vigilante murders that she hopes will lead her to her ultimate target: the mobster responsible for her parents' death.

Done in the believable.Done in the believable. Not just a 100 pound female beating up lots of 200 pound dudes. She does it with style and a revenge like no other. Great action and edge of your seat storyline through out the movie. I recomend this movie be placed in the top 20 of all time. No nikitaNow that I've caught up on Nikita 2.0 (Maggie Q 2011) I realize Zoe's no Maggie Q. She has sexiness but not finesse. It's ruthless like Salt, but she's no pepper. Passable actionerClassic Luc Besson. Lots of gunplay, much boom, slim actresses sans bra in tight outfits. The plot is extremely predictable, but that's not why people watch it. Saldana is fairly wooden. The FBI agent and the actor playing her uncle are better, less tendency to overact or look like they are acting. Weaponcraft is very poor and highly inaccurate as is so sadly common with many films these days. But again, people aren't watching the film to see accurate weapon craft. Mostly they are watching a) for another glimpse of Saldana's nipples or b) they like basic plot action movies..DRChevalierScore: 3/5

Better than you'd thinkI can't trust Rotten Tomatoes anymore, better to just read the individual reviews. To start this one: sure, it's been done before. If you know Luc Besson you'll kind of know what to expect, because this is La Femme Nikita, Columbian version, right down to the hand-stabbing that happens in the beginning, and the "nice boyfriend" who doesn't know who she is, but loves her anyway. That said, the acting in this movie is very good, and Zoe is just great (never mind great to look at). I look forward to seeing her in something worthy of her talent. Cliff Curtis is always solid, and Jordi Molla is chilling as the bad guy…he has a presence from the first scene, even though he's in the background the whole time. Yes, there are plenty of ridiculous "how did she get behind them *this* time?" moments, and there are many opportunities missed in the cinematography…nobody will win awards for those…but overall it's a decent action flick, certainly worth a rental..WhafrogScore: 3/5
