Ahead of it’s timeThis film was largely rejected by audiences when it was released, and as much of a fan of Lucas as I was, I was busy with work and the poor word of mouth led to me not seeing it in theaters. I ended up seeing it on DVD and I remember enjoying it, particularly David Oyelowo’s performance, but otherwise being underwhelmed. Well I’ve just recently watched it again for the first time in 7 years and I have to say I enjoyed it ten times more. I think this film touched a lot of nerves and people didn’t really know how to handle its treatment of race or it’s abundance of special FX. At the time, we were used to thinking of WWII as Band of Brothers. But now, post Captain America and especially post Black Panther, I feel the tone of this movie settles in much better. The VFX absolutely pop on modern iPad and 4K screens in a way DVD did not convey. I can’t speak for how black audiences might feel about this film, but I really enjoyed it and am sad that George Lucas is no longer making pictures..Score: 5/5
If this movie were an air plane it never left the TarmacReading the positive reviews on here make me think that you only liked the movie for what it stood for and represented. Great. I went and saw it because of the potential. I heard about this great project George Lucas undertook spending his own money. I new the story line, an all black cast, no white leads, I heard that was the reason why non of the majors picked up the money and George had to finance it himself. With the names involved, the great story it represented and Lucas (creator of starwars) creating it, I thought the movie would be Harlem Nights meets Braveheart. Unfortunately it was neither, to me it was a dismal failure. What makes a movie isn't the idea behind it or the concept, it's the execution of the movie and this movie stunk. Forget firing on all 12 cylinders (Merlin engine reference) this movie had a blown head gasket. It sucked, it was hard to watch. I think the HBO made for tv move Tuskeegee airmen was a way better movie. You can not like this movie and not be racist btw. It's actually the opposite. I was sad for black people that this movie failed so miserably because it might support the notion that you can't have an all black cast in a blockbuster movie. (That was the supposed reason why the majors didn't pick up this movie btw) in short, the movie was hard to watch, predictable, corny dialogue, just cheaply made, bad sound, score, yadda yadda yadda, you get the point..Score: 1/5

You've got to be kidding!This has to be the most politically INcorrect and condescending movie I've had the misfortune to see. The dialogue is so contrived and insulting to the history of those brave black men, that if I were black I would be ashamed to be associated with the film. The flight sequences were exciting and well done but couldn't possibly overcome the absurd script. Don't even consider it late at night when you're bored stiff and 3 sheets to the wind..Score: 1/5

Terrible......there is an HBO movie about this same subject thats good.This movie is so bad it really is impossible to put it into words.You would think while it was being made someone would have noticed they were making a horrible waste of time,not a film people would like.Search out the HBO film..Score: 1/5

One of the best moviesThis is i think a really good movie. But it sounds like you guys don't like blacks at all. Every other war movie are about Americans, yes, but very little of them are about blacks. Have some respect. Oh, and this is also coming from a 14 year old Canadian. Ok read this.Other reviews may say that the movie is just like any other American war movie, but they are wrong. This movie is about much more than that. Too few people know about the efforts made by African-Americans during the second world war. There is a reason George Lucas funded this movie from his own pocket. I would recommend this movie without a doubt, even though there are some shortcomings due to the low budget..Score: 5/5

We fight we FlightTake out CGI and the movie would be nothing, at times the acting is poor, it had two good actors but they did not perform at their best. It's worth viewing the first time but to watch a second time that probably wont happen for the next 3-4 years if I remember it. Over all worth watching but did not reach the $25mill mark. But if you're a fan of the P51 Mustangs and the B21 bombers then check it out..Score: 3/5
