JIRO DREAMS OF SUSHI is the story of 85-year-old Jiro Ono, considered by many to be the world’s greatest sushi chef. He is the proprietor of Sukiyabashi Jiro, a 10-seat, sushi-only restaurant inauspiciously located in a Tokyo subway station. Despite its humble appearances, it is the first restaurant of its kind to be awarded a prestigious three-star Michelin Guide rating, and sushi lovers from around the globe make repeated pilgrimage, calling months in advance and shelling out top dollar for a coveted seat at Jiro’s sushi bar.
Revered sushi chef Jiro Ono strives for perfection in his work, while his eldest son, Yoshikazu, has trouble living up to his father's legacy.

Passion of a MasterI’m not a fan of sushi, but still enjoyed this film. It gives a good look behind the scenes of a top sushi restaurant in Tokyo and a glimpse into the life of the sushi master Jiro Ono and his son’s who are looking to follow in his footsteps. Jiro is a truly interesting person who is rather private and it would of been nice if he would have more things to say on his career and work, but you get a good enough feel for it..Score: 4/5
