Yeah!!The plot is so confusing and twisted that i'm unsure of what's going on for the majority of the film... but boy do i have a good time watching it!! it's such a gorgeous and interesting movie, and i really enjoyed the religious overtones. plus, noomi rapace and michael fassbender are extremely talented (and pretty!) so that really makes up for all of the pitfalls. accessibility note: i observed that there are a lot of missing words in the subtitles. nothing that ruins the movie, but still..NatashaRogersScore: 5/5

If Titanic was the 4th movie in the Godfather series then this was goodYes, I can easily see how this fits into the Aliens mythology. The plot had some large elements that were very difficult to believe, apart from it being a sci-fi. There were things the charecters did that was terribly predictable for an 80's or 90's horror movies or things they said that was as predictably cheesy. It all fell a little flat except for the key elements which could have been wrapped up into a 20 minutes section. I read all the negative reviews when this first came out. I should have known. I suppose I had to prove it to myself and now I'm just really disappointed. While technically still Aliens mythology, this film in the Aliens series is like trying to sell Titanic as part of the Godfather series simply because there was an Italian family on board. That's how I felt anyhow. Basically, this was like watching Event Horizon with an alien at the end..RoshiodlScore: 2/5

I am now dumberrrrStupid. Stupid. Stupid. Did I mention that this movie was stupid? If you're a sci-fi geek it's probably great... I guess. Otherwise it's a painful movie to sit through. The only purpose to the whole movie is to set the stage for the next one... which will probably set the stage for the next one. Fast and the Furious #212 makes this look like Gone With the Wind. Need I say more?A supposedly trained biologist touches a completely unknown, menacing-looking alien creature without any protection because he thinks it's cute. Charlize Teron tries to escape from a huge object that is going to crush her by running along the shadow of said killing object. And the whole thing was re-written by Damon Lindelof, the one who had no idea how to explain the TV series LOST when he co-created it..MssdoScore: 1/5

Prometheus: BoundThis is a film that somehow loses the essentials of good narrative. It isn't a bad experience, it is just disappointing. Poor PrometheusDon't understand the rave reviews. I feel like I am from another Universe. There was no original thought put into this movie and it contained many regurgitated themes from other sci-fi flicks. The special effects weren't so special. The characters were unbelievable.... supposedly highly educated people bumbling about making idiotic judgment calls. Perhaps it is designed to make us all feel brighter for their stupidity. Great movie making!This movie looks great. The scenery is reminiscent of that gorgeous documentary "Planet Earth". The sets are equally impressive there isn't one moment I believe these characters are on set. It suspends disbelief in that way and makes you think about humanity and it's many layers and levels of chaotic thinking. It draws parallels between humans as creators and the architects as creators. It tries to reveal the source of human suffering;it succeeds in my opinion. It speaks to our need to ask questions and search for answers-one of humanities best characteristics in my opinion. It speaks of perseverance and determination and beliefs that go beyond the iconographic symbols to the values the symbols are supposed to represent. It's also fun and entertaining and speaks to the hero in all of us. Dr. Elizabeth Shaw needed to ask "why" as Taylor did in "Planet of the Apes" Taylor received and explicit warning from Dr. Zeus about looking for that answer and the pain it might bring. LIke Taylor, Elizabeth's strength of character, will to live, and stubborn resolve will bring her to the place she can ask her question. I can only hope that Ridley will make a second movie completely his own without interference from outside forces so we may see what the reply may be. I think I already know but it's so much fun to think about! And that's what true art does-it makes you think!.LestatolovesScore: 5/5
