Different Twist....enjoyed thatIt's fiction correct? These people who review for squashed tomatoes are winners. I can't tell you how many people I have spoken to, who will not judge a movie by their reviews. A handful are very open and honest to a review. The rest are just emotionally disconnected to an open mind on the variety of movie goers and their variety of taste. Trust me we wwere skeptical on this one. It's a true and different "fictional" type of story, thats what makes it different. I know rotten crew it's not dancing with vampires or a reality vampire movie, so it can't be good right???? How some of these reviewers write articles is amazing! If you like action and a twist to a fictional history angle not to bad, the actors did a fine job also. Its not a 400 million dollar budget film. I wonder if George Washington had these issues... enjoy the movie it's a change to an evening film night..Score: 4/5

Seriously??I must first start of saying that the special effects were really cool. However the plot, dialogue and characters were really bad and underdeveloped. The historical implications and the way the history was tied into the story was so far beyond inaccurate and stupid that it was impossible to describe. I also found it very twisted that one of the most important figures in American history was made out to be this person who seeks nothing but vengeance and murder. Overall really corny and stupid..Score: 1/5

Read the book, skip the filmLoses all the subtlety of the novel. The acting is as wooden as the shaft of Lincoln's axe. Mary Elizabeth Winstead sparkles in contrast to the rest of the cast, but she cannot carry the film. Ending does not match the novel, which was one of it's great ideas.
