Better than expectedI remember when the trailers for this film first came out and I was intrigued. Then I saw that it was only rated a 3.5 on iTunes and I was a little hesitant to rent it, but figured "what the heck, I'll give it a shot". ...and I actually found the movie to be quite good. It's a solid 4 in my view and definitely worth watching. Most of the other 3.5's on iTunes have been pretty disappointing, but this was the opposite. This was a good movie. I thought it was GREAT!To me film had a great love story blended in with nice action/violence. Thrown in with my favorite natural herb WEED! Jus as I loved Snoop Dogs ode to weed " Young High and Free". I can get into a movie like this. Again I liked it and WLD recommend it. No it's not the BEST film. But it is entertaining. And the story kept me engaged. I'm a woman who likes action over chick flicks. So if I am to watch romance let it be like this.

ConflictedI can definitely say it was disturbing and way too gory for me at times. I really have virgin eyes and it is a bit sick, twisted, and inhumane. However, I got sucked into it because the acting was quite good and the plot was really very good. I thought it was different than other movies with the strange love triangle although I was hoping for more information on the characters throughout the film. If you have been desensitized to movies like this, you will probably say it was good…I am saying it was good only because of the interesting love story and how interesting they all were as people…and yes, Travolta, Salma, and del Toro pretty top notch…..PaigeeeenScore: 4/5

Great book, OK movieI loved "Savages", the Don Winslow book (and I highly recommend all his books). I read this one twice. I saw the movie this weekend, and when the end came....

It was different. Anyone who has read the book and perhaps had mixed feelings about the way Winslow brought it to a conclusion is also likely to be put out by what I can only characterize as a cynical cop-out of an ending.
