ShallowI understand that it is difficult to put a 800-900 page book on screen, of course some subtleties will be lost, but I felt this was a very SHALLOW rendering of my favorite book. Disappointing! Stunning.Though I am not familiar with the story, the delivery, coupled with the acting made what I saw appealing. What could have been run of the mill, was over the top, visually stunning, and unique. The acting performances struck the right balance with the scenery and theatrics. Boring....tried to hard to be cleverI have to admit, I was looking forward to this movie: the actors, the story...what could go wrong? PLENTY! All the world's a stage....yes, we know....but I guess they thought we wouldn't get it and keep hammering the theme home in an "aren't we clever?" sort of way. Disjointed (oh wait...maybe it was deep...) and ultimately no reason to watch. Stopped it after an hour and a half and berated myself for not turning it off after 5 minutes..GreekartistScore: 1/5

FantasticThe more I watch this the more I marvel at the genius. Dance, choreography of acting and dancing, music, sets, costumes, cinematography, acting, it's got it all. This is not your mother's Anna Karenina. Different, innovative, daring, brilliant. Aaron Taylor-Johnson is the breakout star of this movie. Plenty of star turns to go around. 👍🏻 💕At first I wasn’t sure about the first few minutes of this film because I didn’t care for the stage settings that made it look like a play.
