The Gathering Film Synopsis
Cassie Grant (Christina Ricci) is a young girl from the United States who is wandering through England on foot. On her way to Ashby Wake Cassie is hit by a car. The driver of the car, Mrs Marion Kirkman (Kerry Fox), immediately calls an ambulance. During an examination at the local hospital the doctor comes to the conclusion that Cassie only has some scratches and not even a concussion, but Cassie has lost her memory due to the accident. She only knows her name and mother country, but she does not know which town she comes from, who her family is and why she is in England.

A Christmas ClassicPart of my annual Christmas list of movies to watch. Representative of the period it was made in. The lingering effects of the Vietnam war on families, as well as the economic fall out of the 70's recession weigh heavily on two of Adam's children. Much of this occurred to our family and those in our community. The resolution of these conflicts during a 48 hour period is unrealistic, yet there is not overbearing "christmas miracle" tenor to the movie. My VHS tape and player are nearing senility, and glad to see it is available to all on i tunes. Also consider Sunshine Christmas if you enjoy this movie.

Na křižovatce v malém britském městečku jí srazilo auto a po tomto indicentu se jí vymazaly veškeré vzpomínky. Naštěstí se jí dočasně ujala rodina řidiče, který jí do tohoto "jiného" stavu dostal. Casie však vůbec netuší, jak se do tohoto zapadákova dostala a navíc jí začínají pronásledovat hrůzné vize, které odkazují na její minulost nebo budoucnost (to si nepamatuje). A když na ní ještě začnou na ulici útočit podivná individua ví, že jediné co by jí pomohlo, je si vzpomenout. Ale to je právě to, co nedokáže.
