Dated and a bit hokey but good sci-fiIf you are looking for a seventies sci-fi film that explores an interesting idea, this will do it. It is technically dated, with a combination of elaborately fake sets, models, and existing locations, and the soundrack is made with with some very primitive synthesizers. Even so, it' an okay film. Dating from the days of such future-gone-wrong films as Omega Man and Soylent Green, Logan's Run was among a then-new genre that over the following forty years would result in many hit films and bring many a-list stars into the fold. A Guilty PleasureThis movie set the bar for special effects when it first came out. Although quite cheesy by todays standards, its still a guilty pleasure. The themes of a utopia, with a catch still resonate. Great movie!When I was a young teen my mom showed me this movie. At the time I thought it was very strange and I pretty much forgot about it. But I eventually started remembering a particular scene and asked my parents if they could think of any old movie with that scene- turns out it was this one!

It's a good memoryThis show reminds me of my youth. I like the themes in it but I have to admit my adult mind doesn't like it as much as my young mind. I think they could remake this movie and have it kill but you'd risk waking the giant and I'm not sure anyone in Hollywood cares about change that much. A byla to také právě umělá inteligence, jež rozhodla, že po velké katastrofě nyní mohou lidé, soustředění do obskurní komunity nedaleko bývalého Washingtonu, žít pouze do třiceti let. Pak následuje tzv. „omlazení“. Jenže za touto procedurou se neskrývá nic jiného než obyčejný holocaust. V tomto světě není nikomu dopřáno dožít se Kristových let, protože třicet svíček na dortu rovná se automatická smrt. K tomu, aby tento zákon nebylo možné obejít, byly vytvořeny speciální policejní jednotky a mezi jejich členy patří také Logan, ztělesněný ikonou 70. a 80. let Michaelem Yorkem. A právě on byl nyní počítačem vyslán, aby vyhledal „útočiště“, místo, kde se skrývají uprchlíci před svým osudem. Všechny nalezené má exterminovat, jak káže řád. Jenže více než smysl pro povinnost probudí útočiště v Loganovi otázky. Otázky, zda-li je systém, jemuž slouží, správný. A záhy přicházejí také odpovědi a s nimi touha po nápravě.

Neki od stanovnika tog savršenog društva se odbijaju pokloniti okrutnim zakonima i spas traže u bijegu izvan grada. Logan 5 (York) je 'Sandman', i njegov je posao da lovi i ubija bjegunce.
