Some time after the Mousekewitz's have settled in America, they find that they are still having problems with the threat of cats. That makes them eager to try another home out in the west, where they are promised that mice and cats live in peace. Unfortunately, the one making this claim is an oily con artist named Cat R. Waul who is intent on his own sinister plan.

A Worthy Successor to the 1986 OriginalThis sequel to the original 1986 Don Bluth film from Steven Spielberg and Amblin Entertainment is the best sequel in the "American Tail" film series. It's the final film in the series to be presented by Spielberg and released theatrically, and also the first film produced by the Amblimation studio in London, England. Amblimation would later produce "We're Back! A Dinosaur's Story" in 1993 and "Balto" in 1995. The remaining two entries "The Treasure of Manhattan Island" and "The Mystery of the Night Monster" are produced by Universal Animation Studios.
Phillip Glasser reprises his role as the main character Fievel, along with Nehemiah Persoff and Erica Yohn returning as Papa and Mama Mousekewitz respectively. Oh, and let's not forget the late and great Dom DeLuise portraying Tiger once again. Joining most of the original voice cast are Cathy Cavadini (the voices of Glitter in the '80s cartoon show "Kidd Video" and Blossom in the original "Powerpuff Girls") as Tanya Mouskewitz, Amy Irving as Tiger's love interest Miss Kitty, John Cleese as the conniving Cat R. Waul, Jon Lovitz as Waul's hench-spider T.R. Chula, and last but not least, the late Jimmy Stewart in his swan song film appearance as the famous Western sheriff and lawdog, Wylie Burp. Stewart passed away six years after this film originally hit the big screen. This film also features an elaborate musical score by the late James Horner, who also composed music for the first film. It also features a few musical numbers, the most well known ones being "Dreams to Dream" and my personal favorite "The Girl You Left Behind," both performed by Cathy Cavdini as Tanya.
I would strongly recommend "An American Tail: Fievel Goes West" to all the fans of the original 1986 film and Western film fans alike. You won't be disappointed..Zachary NoahScore: 5/5

Deutsch Die Emigranten-Mäuse Mouskewitz müssen feststellen, daß auch in New York die Straßen nicht mit Käse gepflastert sind. So träumt Feivel bereits von der Weite des Westens und sieht sich selbst als Revolverhelden mit Sheriffstern. Die Familie macht sich auf den Weg. Feivel will sein Vorbild, den Sheriff Wylie Burp kennenlernen. Auch Feivels bester Freund Tiger, die freundlichste Katze unter der Sonne, zieht los. Natürlich gehen beide unterwegs verloren, treffen sich in der Wüste wieder, um am Ziel ihrer Träume festzustellen, daß Wylie nicht mehr der ist, von dem die Legenden erzählen, und daß der üble Kater R. Waul längst auch hier das Sagen hat. Da aber sorgt Feivel für Abhilfe.

Vræl fortæller, at vestpå lever misser og musser i fuld fordragelighed, slutter musene sig til hans vogntog. Det viser sig dog, at Vræl har planer om at indtage karavanens rejsende som museburgere. Det må Fievel naturligvis sætte en stopper for.
Norsk Steven Spielberg presenterer denne herlige tegnefilmen med fortsettelsen av eventyrene om Fievel, den modige lille musen som fanget et stort publikum i Et amerikansk eventyr. Etter at familien Musewitz endelig har kommet til Amerika og flyttet inn i en leiegård, finner de fort ut at alle gatene der ikke er dekket av ost likevel. Unge Tanya vil bli sangerinne. Fivel drømmer om å bli en tøff sheriff som helten hans Wylie Burp. De blir lurt ut i ville vesten av en slu entreprenør, og Fivel oppdager at den slemme fyrens egentlige planer er å lage muse-burgere av nybyggerne. Fivel får hjelp av kattevennen Tiger, og de to går sammen med Wylie Burp for å redde alle vennene sine.
