This is the story of Haşmet, a man who escaped from the unwritten laws of the east, and Yağmur, a naive and innocent girl who is unaware of the bitter realities of life, and their romance riddled with obstacles. This romance tells the tale of the east and the west, of the Sun and the Moon, of water and fire.

A pretty young girl falls for an enigmatic, shy man who sweeps her off her feet. She becomes pregnant but is not allowed to tell him. His advisers are adamant. Back home, they have set up a wedding with the daughter of an antagonistic family and marriage will put an end to the blood feud between them.

Auf einer Versammlung, auf der eigentlich Frieden zwischen zwei verfeindeten Familien geschlossen werden sollte, wird Hasmet (Özcan Deniz), der älteste Sohn des Ayaz-Stammes, angeschossen. Um sich und seine Familie zu schützen, tötet er im Gegenzug das Oberhaupt der Feindesfamilie und beschließt daraufhin, nach London zu gehen, bis Gras über die Angelegenheit gewachsen ist. Im Flugzeug begegnet er der naiven Frau Yagmur (Yasemin Allen), die nichtsahnend, wie bitter das Leben sein kann, auf der Suche nach sich selbst ist. Da sie unter starker Flugangst leidet, verkrallt sie sich in ihren Sitznachbarn Hasmet und so kommen die beiden miteinander ins Gespräch. Zwischen dem verwundeten Hasmet und der reinen Yagmur springt der Funke über und der Lauf beider Leben soll sich durch diese schicksalshafte Begegnung verändern.

Egy csinos, fiatal lány, Yagmur beleszeret egy titokzatos ám félénk férfiba, Hasmetbe. A tűz találkozott a vízzel. Ám a mesébe illő szerelmük csak addig tart, míg Yagmur meg nem tudja, hogy Hasmet valójában egy maffia család sarja, és a megálmodott jövőjük sohasem jöhet létre. Yamgur terhes lesz, Hasmet pedig feleségül vesz egy másik nőt, évekkel később viszont újra találkoznak, és a szerelmük feléled, mert sem a víz nem párolgott el, sem a tűz nem aludt ki.
