Just Wish It Hadn't Been Divided UpSpoiler Alert:
So yeah, I really wish it hadn't been divided into two movies. But, I do think that this part of the Hunger Games story does put a really interesting take on the concept of the revolutiony. I really liked the movie, but of course it feels incomplete because it basically stops mid-plot. That isn't to say that there isn't any plot development or character development thus far. As the revolution ramps up, Katniss starts to see the price of revolution in a way that she hadn't seen before and it takes a tremendous toll on her, not only becuase she is a kind hearted person but also because she has the weight of everyone's hopes on her shoulders. Meanwhile, she has to deal with possibly losing the man she loves to insantity brought on by conditioning and torture. Those themes alone are powerful and this movie delivers them well. What bothers everyone, including me, is that you only get to see part of what is potentially a really powerful story brought to life. Can’t see what all the fuss was aboutI started reading the first book, and couldn’t make it past page 150. This is my first movie of the series, and have to say I am not getting the vibe at all.
OK, it was cool when she shoots down the jet plane with the arrow, but then the movie is all about Catness moving from local to local getting blindsided by news of various sorts that has us getting the full portfolio of this performers take on what it means to be given upsetting news. The only thing I would be interested in seeing more of after seeing this movie is Natalie Dormer with that Viking hair cut and awesome tattoo. Wonder how far it goes down around her body do you think?, Ahem, anyway, For a .99 cent rental, the price was right. Otherwise, I am not too sure If I would invest in this one..UncaledScore: 2/5

Petty much boringI love the other three hunger game movies! But I’m wondering what in the heck happened with this movie. There’s like no action (except for katniss shooting down a couple airplanes with her bow and Arrow). It’s pretty much just a boring drama. Great entertainmentA great mix of action, emotion and more of the series's dark themes involving government. Great performances especially from Jennifer Lawrence. I know most people like catching fire the most of the hunger games movies. I like this one the most. A major part of that is the scene where they infiltrate the Capitol to rescue peeta. Good MovieMockingjay Part 1 is probably the weakest of the series, but that doesn't mean it's not worth seeing. This film might not have much action but it still has enough. But action isn't what this film is about, not even in the slightest. This is about how war begins and how people have to deal with emotions during the time. A really good character study.
