The worldwide phenomenon comes to life in Fifty Shades of Grey, starring Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan in the iconic roles of Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey. Ana is an inexperienced college student tasked with interviewing enigmatic billionaire Christian Grey. But what starts as business quickly becomes an unconventional romance. Swept up in Christian's glamorous lifestyle, Ana soon finds another side to him as she discovers his secrets and explores her own dark desires. What results is a thrilling, all-consuming romance as Christian and Ana test the limits they will go to for their relationship.
Are you curious?. When college senior Anastasia Steele steps in for her sick roommate to interview prominent businessman Christian Grey for their campus paper, little does she realize the path her life will take. Christian, as enigmatic as he is rich and powerful, finds himself strangely drawn to Ana, and she to him. Though sexually inexperienced, Ana plunges headlong into an affair -- and learns that Christian's true sexual proclivities push the boundaries of pain and pleasure.
This movie was so great....it was just AMAZING!!!!😍❤️ I loved it so much!!!
Rating is way wrong. XXX this is not love and not romance.
The only thing his movie is about is sex. Crappy movie.
I read all the books, and they were totally amazing! I have yet to see the movies, waiting till Fifty shades freed comes out in iTunes to buy them together. And I am like dying in anticipation! They are going to be so good, just like the books are!
I couldn’t finish this movie do to what its message is trying to convey. Women are repeatedly abused and controlled by men in society and I feel like movies like this can send the wrong message to women by saying that it’s ok for a man to treat you a certain way because he is “handsome” or “rich” etc... definitely reinforcing that women should tolerate certain behaviors just to have a relationship with a man.
Loved it if you purchased the books you know theres a story
This film could be interesting to those who are into the dominant and submissive type pleasure. In addition, this film describes the woman's cheap and vulnerable mind which was literally bought mainly by the men's money. Then, she was trapped in the dangerous situation highly voluntarily due to the man's spent money. I couldn't rate this film with good grades. This film does not exactly tell about their relationship. Rather, this film was about a woman's falling into submissive role with self-thinking love. I did not see much of artistic factors in this film. Mostly, it was about how to spend the money for one person, whether it is great or not. In terms of value in film history or art, this film does not have much value. Maybe, this film can be just okay in terms of amateur guidance to the dominant and submissive relationship. Expecting more than this can be a bit too much. There are several educational factors to get.
It's seriously less about BDSM than it is about her sexual awakening and sensual pleasures. I've never read the books, in fact I mocked my friends that had and I really had no interest in the movie (I just watched it this week), but am a fan of both Ms. Johnson and Mr. Dornan. My biggest criticism would be for the person responsible for continuity on set but other than that I was pleasantly surprised...but be clear guys, this is NOT hardcore porn and you shouldn't expect it to be. That said...it makes me wonder about the BDSM world and what I've been missing...
This movie turned me on
Erotic. Riveting. Sensual. Extreme. Suspenseful. Exotic. Funny. And yes even Romantic !I had heard so many bad things about this movie, the actors were miscast, it was about abuse, etc. I had to see it! I watched the movie not knowing what to except as I hadn't read the book, and to my excitement, I was sooo intrigued and excited. I loved Dakota as Anastasia, I had never seen her in anything before. James as Christian was also perfect, as I think he is very handsome and have seen him in something somewhere, but I had heard some other actor was supposed to play the character but backed out, to my delight! I am not keen on that other actor. As I wait with excited anticipation for Fifty Shades Darker to be released at theatres this week, I decided to read the book Fifty Shades of Grey. I hate reading, and to my shock, I read it in one day! It was as erotic, riveting, sensual, extreme, suspenseful, exotic, funny, and yes even romantic as the movie. I had also heard James Dornan would not be coming back as Christian, and to my delight he has! So now that I have purchased all the Fifty Shades of...books, which I now know is 3, I can only hope there will be a third movie! I am trying not read the second book, as I don't want to ruin the movie. The author is very talented in her way of writing what these characters are thinking and feeling! And the director has captured this on film!!
All the bad reviews come from ugly jealous guys. Each and every woman loved thos movie. Sex scenes can be better but all in all its about the chemestry that is building between the two and the small hints he gives that expresses hos love even if doesn't want to admit it, like only with her he smiles and that he can't stop looking at her when he is with her... Good work.
Wow I've seen better acting at community theatres. They sounded so rehearsed and lacked natural flow. As they say sex sells, hence the director/writers not having a "real plot" or "real chemistry," with it's actors. I only saw short bit of it, but when I see the rest, surly I will continue to be disappointed!!!
Can't give 0 stars. If you want a movie about stalking and non-consensual sex and false/inaccurate representation of BDSM here it is. Books were awful, movie is not worth a watch either.
Je suis vraiment intéressée par l’achat de ce film, je l’ai vu au cinéma mais avant, je veux savoir s’il y a la version française. je ne voudrais pas que ce soit seulement des sous-titres français. Merci!
This movie stayed true to the book almost 100%. If you didn't like the book, then don't be dumb enough to watch the movie.
I didn't like it. The plot and acting was definitely lacking. Ugh
You commenters really have no idea what hell this this move is about eh... She likes everything he is doing by her motions, expression and movements! The only thing with it is that Anastasia is the romantic type, but Christian grey is into wanting an only sexual partner. But they are both so sexually attracted to each other that suddenly nothing else matters..
Not for kids nasty movie
I payed the $9.99 for the movie, then it redirected me to he App Store and said that it wasn't available in the United States? Is there any way I can get my money back?
I loved the books so much and the story behind it. A lot of people think it's all about sex and domination but it's really about a man with a troubled childhood and him experiencing love for the first time, and this women exploring her sexual life as well. Everyone things it's abusive as well but he doesn't do anything to her that she doesn't want if it was abusive she would tell him to stop and she doesn't, it's better if you read the books first then you'll know it more. It was great getting to see the book come to life I can't wait for the second movie 👍🏽😄
I love this movie… not as much as the book, but its still good… my biggest issue was more on the point that I rented it through iTunes and couldn’t watch it all the way through because it kept freezing up on me. won’t rent from here again!
They always say this movie/the book is based on Twilight (fan fiction?), but this is definitely a milder shallow version of "Secretary" with Maggie Gyllenhaal (2002). Both movies based on a shy brunette who falls for an elusive Mr. Grey (really E.L?) and has S&M sex with him. Both author and director didn't try very hard with book and movie. Watch "Secretary" it's a better more believable movie.
I officially know every line of this movie, word for word. it's one of my favorite movies. recommend 100%
Honestly one of the best movies ever. E.L James is such an amazing another. The whole cast and crew did an amazing job bringing the characters to life and giving them so much meaning, buy the movie you won't regret it one bit 😊✨👌🏼💕
It was perfect and very addictive and pleasurable I love s&m so it set my whole world on fire plus I love the books can't wait for the next movie
I thought the acting was terrible and,the story was dreadful. Glad I never read the books 😀.
