My 2nd favorite of the Star Wars franchiseThe story of Anakin’s seduction to the Dark Side is a tragic one and ROS captured it beautifully despite what the hateful haters say. You slowly see him descend under Palpatine’s spell, away from his brotherly mentor Obi Wan Kenobi and his loving wife Padme Amidala. Palpatine was the ultimate puppet master and schemer. Ian McDiarmid gets huge props from me on playing his character. He added so many facets to Palpatine. I don’t think anyone else could’ve done it as well as McDiarmid. Hayden Christensen, Natalie Portman, Ewan McGregor were also excellent. ESB has always been the favorite of mine with ROS following very closely behind..AnnaandherpaliphoneScore: 5/5

The best of the prequelsThe other two prequels were basically buildup to this one. Revenge of the Sith does not disappoint. My favourite film of the franchiseI see the flaws, don’t worry. But this movie means so much to me, much more than any other film of the franchise. From the twisted mind of Palpatine to Obi-Wan and Anakin’s inevitable fate, this movie hits harder to me than any other one. The emotions that I feel watching this are unique. Of course, the settings, the scope and the music of this film are beyond anything I have ever seen. I remember seeing this movie, opening day, when I was a kid, and it changed my life. Utter garbageLucas was rightly pilloried for creating 3 prequels of utter dreck ending with this sad sack of a movie. I feel bad a little for all involved as surely something so sordid, so poorly crafted can be toxic for an actor’s career. Thank God JJ Abrahams has been passed the movie making torch and has redeemed the franchise to its proper glory with the Force Awakens. Watchable at bestFor some strange reason, episode III has gained a following, and is being hailed on the internet as being better than episode VII. It's really not. It is the best SW prequel by far, but still has the same wooden acting and dialogue you have come to be familiar with in the previous two movies. The Force Awakens has memorable characters with back-and-forth banter that doesn't make you cringe. Episode III is really lacking these things. It has one standout performance (Ian MacDiarmid as the emperor) and a fantastic score by John Williams. The film's potentially compelling story is unfortunately squandered by bad storytelling, though, and still falls flat..KuhgkguvkScore: 2/5
