James Franco and Jonah Hill star in this taut thriller from writer-director Rupert Goold, based on Michael Finkel’s chilling, real-life story. After a disgraced New York Times journalist (Hill) learns that Christian Longo, a man accused of murdering his family, claims to be him, he is intrigued and begins meeting with Longo. But as time goes on, Finkel realizes how dangerous Longo really is.

FRANCO IS AN ARTIST!!!James Franco is always fascinating to watch in his seemingly infinite genres of movies. See this movie for his performance which really shows the infancy of Hill's attempt to match this strange film. I have seen Franco become a force in the blockbuster films and he has opened the independent made films to audiences that will watch a lower budget film because he is in it. I'm overwhelmed with the constant flow of depressing films about unspeakable things that are tragically happening and have always been part of the human race lost. So I can't say that this movie is a new shocking story when the most shock you can find is on the local news; but I have to give Franco 5 stars for the excellent power he effortlessly brings to this and every role..MajorthomasScore: 5/5
