Steve Carell (The 40-Year-Old Virgin) stars in this sitcom based on Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant's award-winning comedy. Told through the lenses of a documentary film crew, The Office exposes the humorous and often foolish events at Dunder-Mifflin Paper Company in Scranton, Pennsylvania. In this first season, Dunder-Mifflin Regional Manager, Michael Scott (Carell) leads the documentary team and his staff on a journey through inappropriate behavior, well-intentioned but misguided comments and a myriad of poor management techniques. Michael has no clue that his employees can barely tolerate him. In his mind, he is their guru, their mentor, and their cool friend. His staff includes his dedicated-to-the-point-of-annoying assistant, Dwight Schrute, office receptionist Pam, and likable sales rep Jim. During the six episodes of Season 1, Dunder-Mifflin tackles tough subjects including company layoffs, diversity initiatives, health care, and office alliances. Anyone who has ever worked in a "team" environment can appreciate the humor and suffering of the Dunder-Mifflin staff and The Office.

Extremely Funny, and Totally Worth ItI watch The Office very often, and think it is one of the funniest, and most cleverly written shows. The "Basketball" episode made me laugh constantly and I recommend it to anyone. I have watched it a few times since I downloaded it and laugh just as hard every time. I also recommend the "Office Olympics" and "The Alliance" (which are both a dollar under "Producers Picks"). This was a great download and was totally worth it..Score: 5/5

Great comedyIf you're looking to own one of the greatest comedies, look no further kids! Definitely collect this series. However, I would also recommend the original British version to REAL fans if you have not seen it. I actually saw that series before this Americanized version. Both are funny, but the British version's humour can be less obvious to the "everyday American". This version will have you in tears!.Score: 5/5

Excellent show (better in later seasons) and WE HAVE HD!!!I love this show, but the first season doesn't really get going with any of the characters. It's good, but this show only really goes from good to great from season 2 onwards. It's great now that all seasons have come out in HD too, and at very reasonable prices as far as I am concerned. But when are we going to get season 4? (to be fair, it's not on DVD in the UK yet either) I hate being so far behind the US..Score: 5/5

Come On Guys....For goodness sake this is the US version, the other ones the English version stop complaining and comparing them why don't you just say what you don't like about it instead of trying to compare it to something that is rather different to the original. Uk or UsSeason 1 is too much like the uk version but by time season 2 starts it leaves the uk version standing. Ricky had a good idea and the uk version was great at the time but things move on and grow! The US version is sooo much better, better acting, better writing, plots, stories, jokes better everything! 12 uk episodes total (plus 2 Christmas shows) or over 100 brilliantly writen US episodes. It speaks for itself (I'm from the uk too) the Americans have taken a short good show from the uk and made it one of the best things to come from over the pond, ever!.Score: 5/5

Not as bad as I thought it would beThis US version hasn't done a bad job but still isn't a patch on the original.
