The Office, Season 2 Release Date and Synopsis

Season 2 kicks off with The Dundies, Michael Scott's attempt at boosting office morale with an annual awards ceremony — which culminates with a hilarious karaoke competition. Throughout the year, the staff — Dwight, Pam, Jim, and temp Ryan — also deals with a sexual harassment seminar, an office fire, and office holiday traditions for Halloween and Christmas. No episode is complete without pompous commentary from boss-man Michael or completely inappropriate behavior from almost everyone in Dunder-Mifflin's Scranton branch. Basically, The Office is just like your life, only funnier.

PricingThere has to be something that I do not understand about the fees associated with distributing content online. I mean, I'm using my own drive space to store. That means I am paying for the medium. There is no packaging. There is no distribution. There is no media for the manufacturer to pay for. The only cost is outbound bandwidth. I'm paying for my own connectivity. (That in itself I suppose resembles a person driving to a store and buying a season). $35 for Season 2? I mean, c'mon - the show does rock, but this season is old? I know it might seem benign, but 5$ cheaper, I could actually swallow. Pursuant with your current pricing structure, $29.99 However, I would figure $24.99 would be a better price point. All this before you put it in your DVD player - iTunes delivery has none of these costs, yet the DVD remains significantly cheaper (and has extras). Steve Carell (The 40-Year-Old Virgin) stars in this sitcom based on Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant's award-winning comedy. Told through the lenses of a documentary film crew, The Office exposes the humorous and often foolish events at Dunder-Mifflin Paper Company in Scranton, Pennsylvania. In this first season, Dunder-Mifflin Regional Manager, Michael Scott (Carell) leads the documentary team and his staff on a journey through inappropriate behavior, well-intentioned but misguided comments and a myriad of poor management techniques. Michael has no clue that his employees can barely tolerate him. In his mind, he is their guru, their mentor, and their cool friend. His staff includes his dedicated-to-the-point-of-annoying assistant, Dwight Schrute, office receptionist Pam, and likable sales rep Jim. During the six episodes of Season 1, Dunder-Mifflin tackles tough subjects including company layoffs, diversity initiatives, health care, and office alliances. Anyone who has ever worked in a "team" environment can appreciate the humor and suffering of the Dunder-Mifflin staff and The Office.

Yes, Golden Globe winner Steve Carell is back as the boss you hate to love. Once again, the cameras take aim at the madness and monotony of the American workplace when the Dunder Mifflin employees punch the clock on the seventh season of the Emmy-winning show. Season 8 of the hit comedy series promises to be the most interesting yet as the beloved cast keeps Dunder Mifflin moving in a world (and office building) without Michael Scott. Office politics mix with old friendships and new rivalries as James Spader joins the cast as Sabre CEO Robert California. But everyone is still wondering the same thing: who is going to be the new manager? Nobody knows, but with the likes of Dwight, Jim, Darryl, Andy and a whole slew of surprise contenders involved, this power struggle promises to be NSFW (Not Safe For Work).
