- Absolutely spectacular5 star

Doctor who always amazes me !!!

- Best Season of Doctor Who yet!!!5 star

I stated it when season 8 came out that Peter Capaldi is hands down one of the best actors to potray the charater of the Doctor! I am a LONG time Doctor Who fan - I have watched nearly EVERY episode from the 1st Doctor to now! This season had it all - heartwarming themes, best enemies to fight, mind twisting conflicts, and even morality when it came to facing a dark past...Davros! There are a lot of Steven Moffat haters out there (just ignore them) - Moffat truly understands this show and has given something amazing not only to the new school Doctor Who fans, but to us old schoolers as well! And Peter Capaldi...what can I say...YOU are now MY Doctor!

- Excellent5 star

Acting, script, music, sets, have all HUGELY improved in this season, I love it!

- Astouding!5 star

I liked Capaldi as The Doctor in season 8 but I just felt like the stories and and the writing were pretty poor. They all focused around death and not knowing who oneself is. It was a pretty depressing season and not one I will revisit soon. However! Season 9 is one of my favorites as a whole since... idk, the one with Martha Jones? (Not that I didn't like Matt Smith or Amy and Rory, but some of the story arks, especially the Silence, had me a bit more than confused.) This season is all about immortality and the pain and loss that comes with it. And some cameos from Game of Thrones (which I recently got into) so that was nice to see. All together it felt like everyone had more fun making this season and The Doctor's humor is more fun (where as last season it was pretty dark humor that just earned him a slap in the face.) Hell Bent is a fantastic "stuck in a room" brain twister who's twist really had me surprised! Really well done episode! As for that one found footage episode... I skipped over it. I heard bad things about it and didn't want it to sulley my experience soo.... 11/12 aint bad... right? Seriously, if you didn't like 8, give 9 a try and THEN decide if you don't like Capaldi's doctor. I love him now!

- It Just Keeps Getting Better!5 star

Heaven Sent/Hell Bent are my all-time favorite episodes. Not only has the music score provided by Murray Gold continue to improve and astound me, but the stories of Doctor Who keep their elements of suspense and fascination, alongside some heartwarming scenes! The 12th Doctor (Peter Capaldi) shows genuine strength, witty and dark humor, and stature as the Doctor. Capaldi, without a doubt in my mind, has grown to become a significant Doctor that'll leave an everlasting impression on the legacy of Doctor Who.

- I like the season two Doctor better than this one 😠5 star

If the made this Doctor regen again back to the season two Doctor that would be cool. But im still really excited about season 9 of Doctor Who?! GREAT SHOW😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😀😡😄😄😄😄😄😄😄

- Best series of new who5 star

Doctor Who has outdone itself this year, two parters, serious themes, Capaldi, Coleman all make this season incredible.

- Season 9 is Great!5 star

Any concerns after last season's confusing story line are resolved as Season 9 lets Peter Capaldi shine as The Doctor! The first episode began the season strong and it only gets better each week. Love it!

- Doctor who now5 star

I think now everyone is entitled to their opinion but I think doctor who is kinda moving into the horror type spooky area and I think at the speed they are going its gonna be 16 episodes per season so in 2017 we are gone be in season 35 BUT who knows ;-) anyway this show is great if you like sci-fi/spooky

- Heaven Sent5 star

The story, music, acting The best of the season, and can't wait for the finale

- Love it!!!5 star

Man the jump scares "Heaven Sent" are awesome. lol Almost felled out of my sit! LOL Also I love how Peter Capaldi is adding hand jesters like the classic doctor who. Like when he pop is finger in his mouth that was a thing that one of the classic doctors would do. (i forget which doctor did it) but i love that. Just wish they would add a classic car back into the show. i wonder if the doctor still has it... or maybe tartis has a garage lol. Also i wish they bring back the kung fu Jon Pertwee!! Go Peter Capaldi!! lol

- So so disappointed1 star

Steven Moffat needs to concentrate on Sherlock and leave Doctor Who to someone else…like maybe Russell Davies again! Moffat is ruining the Doctor and everything about the show. I am hating it especially that last episode last night. Horribly boring and pointless.

- Disappointed1 star

For me they have ruined Doctor Who with this latest round of writing I don’t enjoy and a doctor I don’t enjoy. I now have to mourn the death of my favorite show a 2nd time. Too bad.

- SOOO EXITED!!5 star

I LOVE doctor who and I am really excited to see it on its ninth season and I like how Moffat is running the show and I miss the tenth doctor!!! 😆😆😆

- Keeps Getting Better and Better!5 star

Thus far, Peter Capaldi is one of the finest Doctors that has graced us with their presence on Doctor Who. He really knows how to play the serious/sassy Doctor as we’ve all seen with Christopher Eccleston, the guardian of Earth as David Tennant’s Doctor showed, and the comical/curiousness that Matt Smith displayed. Not to mention Clara guiding him through their adventures and teaching him how to be more patient with others. Missy is also a nice bonus to see. Michelle Gomez really runs away with the insanity that is Missy/the Master. You will not be disappointed in this season!

- Ugh...2 star

I'm still gonna watch it, but why didn't Clara just stay dead?! She's awful and the lady who plays her is a terrible actor!

- Incredible!5 star

Season 9 finds Capaldi hitting his stride as the Doctor! I love the two-parter set up of this season, as the longer format really allows better for a fully fleshed-out story and characters, while harkening back to the old days (pre-NuWho) when the end of most episodes ended with cliff hangers! A season not to be missed!

- We have our doctor … Finally … Before the Flood5 star

Season 8 was painful for me. The doctor and the writing just did not mesh. Season 9 started off a bit better, but it still seem dependent on Doctor Who past to keep the current doctor alive. I was worried about the sunglasses and the guitar, almost like we were spiraling down a time vortex..and we did..and it led to something new. The Doctor’s intro to ‘Before the Flood’ with the electric guitar was fantastic, and the storyline kept my interest. I am so thrilled to have our 12th Doctor solidly in place, and I hope he stays our doctor for a long Time And our Relative Dimension In Space.

- Heart wrenching!4 star

I fell in love with the show -/+ 2 years ago and I like the Peter Capaldi Doctor. "Under The Lake" got my attention since Cass was deaf and used ASL, and my sister's hearing is not that good, but I can relate to the character in the show, changing my perspective. STEVEN MOFFAT!!!! MAKE AN EPISODE WITH AN AUTISTIC KID, PLEEEAASE?!?!?!

- Great start4 star

This season is off to a great start compared to the flop of last season.

- I LOVE MISSY5 star

I am so glad Missy is back! I have been waiting for the whole 8 months and 29 days since the Christmas Special to see Capaldi back in action with Clara. I love that the show has a great fan base and is accepting Peter Capaldi as the new doctor! I am looking forward to the next episodes to come!

- Great so far!5 star

This season is gonna be the best since series 9. Also where is the Doctors meditation? Please make it available.

- Love The Show, Where’s the Prequel - Doctor’s Meditation?5 star

I love Doctor Who and am thrilled for Season 9. But why hasn’t the prequel, The Doctor’s Mediation been uploaded? The little teaser is nice, but where is the whole six minute short that leads directly into episode 1??

- Magical5 star

You never know what you are going to get or who you are going to get. It has a mythology like no other, emotion ranging from the tragic to the joyous and on a fairly low budget showcases fantastic performances, concepts, full symphony orchestra music and real emotional punch with only one fixed set. It's magical.

- Love Show!5 star

Love Dr. Who!

- Doctor who season 95 star

It's basically just Doctor who which means five stars if u like sci-fi this is for you I personally don't like Peter capaldi as the doctor but the storyline is amazing this season purchase and get watching you have a lot of thrills and adventures to go on PS. His life will make you very jealous

- FANTASTIC!5 star

I’m really loving Peter Capaldi as the new Doctor! He brings back to the show a refreshing classic Who feel that harkens back to the days of Jonathan Pertwee and Tom Baker, yet still manages to stay refreshingly quick witted and on point, like his more recent predecessors, in a way that appeals todays audiences. I really hope they decide to keep him around for a good long while! There’s never a dull moment and each episode leaves me wanting MORE! If episode one was any indication I believe season 9 is going to be simply amazing and I can’t wait!

- Love the show, but....5 star

Apple needs to be a LOT clearer about when the episodes are going to be available. Why is it that all this teaser fluff is available immediately, yet it takes a day to get the episodes here? I didn't pay for the freebies and would prefer to have the things I **did** pay for show up on the same timeline.

- Ummmm5 star

ARG!! Episode one isn't on here yet, and I'm wringing my hands for season 9. I can't wait! Zygons, Daleks, Missy, and more on the way. In short, Doctor Who is a roller coaster of feels, deep characters, and al around awesome-ness. Give it a try, you might become a whovian too! 😋

- Awesome5 star

Greatest show ever made

- Dr. Who the greatest in TV5 star

I love this program to no end. WOW

- I can't Imagine Planet Earth without the BBC and Dr. Who !4 star

Wow, after long spells of empty TVs, BBC brings us more and more wonderful Dr. Who! The stories are fantastic and the characters are unforgettable. I can't walk past an Angel statue without doing a double take stare! :-) Peter Capaldi and Jenna Coleman are picking up where others have built a solid following across the whole Planet! It must be amazing to be recognized as a Star in several countries... Thank you BBC and thanks to all the staff and crew bringing imagination to life in Dr. Who.

- SHUT UP!!!!!!!😀😀😀😀😀😀😀YAY!!5 star

IM SO EXCITED I WILL SERIOUSLY DIE!!!!!!! AHHHHH IM A HUMONGOUS DOCTOR WHO FAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

- Adventure of a lifetime5 star

From everything I've read about Series 9, it's set to be thrilling, unpredictable, and epic. We already know it will include Missy, Zygons, tons of Classic Daleks, Skaro, Vikings, undersea bases, Maisie Williams, UNIT... the list goes on. And since almost every story is a two-parter this year, we'll hopefully see much more secondary character development and Twelve and Clara moments! I'm waiting with excitement and hope- if this series can even equal the last one in quality I'll be one happy Whovian. (Plus- this season pass is actually a great deal, compared to the last season's. Especially the SD version... it's only $23 dollars for all twelve episodes and the bundle of exclusive extras they're sure to release.)

- Doctor Who is Back!5 star

It has been with us since 1963 and it continues to entertain. It is a Sci-Fi Multigenerational (Yes, a sad attempt at a Dr Who joke) delight that keeps changing with the times. As my father introduced it to me in the 70's and now I pass it down to ours in the 10's (Yet another 'punny' attempt.) If you are a fan of Sci-Fi, you'll love this!

- Excited :-)5 star

I love the last doctor, & just getting into this new doctor👍🏻 Very happy about this $30.99 Season Pass thingy, count us in🎉

I'm looking forward to another great series with the 12th Doctor. Hopefully we will get bonus content as we have in the past season passes.

Fireflies 2001 - Incredible Show!5 star

This show is incredible! It is most intriguing and is the longest running sci-fi show. Though season nine is not the best of the thirty five, a true fan of this show would truly appreciate it. It's a bit overpriced and does not include the christmas special. Other than that, this season was absolutely fantastic!

lestatoloves - Brilliant!5 star

It’s everything it should be! Will there be a Season 10? I hope there will be if the writing is this good! Season 1 to 9 are brilliant, nothing less than brilliant! Steven Moffat you move me!

beaucoup trop de titre sans version francaice meme si celle- ci existe !!!

Trick Fan - Great Season!5 star

Really loving the current Doctor, as he is really growing into the role. This rating is for the show - $38 for the Season?? Way too high - would think $25 would be more reasonable especially since you are asking me to buy the Christmas Episode separately & these are all digital too - maybe could see $35 for a blu-ray with a digital copy included but for digital only it should much lower… check your prices if you want more to actually pay for this stuff. Not mention that you can buy the current season of Arrow or The Flash right now for $25 and that has over double the # of episodes (Current season of The Walking Dead is less $ and more episodes).

cant-catch-tomorrow - Fantastic season pass, should include Xmas episode5 star

I always buy the season pass when a new Doctor Who season is out, it's so convenient to have in my library and watch on my laptop and the Extras are great, but for the price it should really include the Christmas episode too. There's one at the end of every season, so why not? Shouldn't have to pay another $2.99!

Elvis200124 - Best season of Doctor who5 star

This season of Doctor who has been the best season I have ever seen. The season was great when it started with Davros coming back, and then when the doctor gave his anti war speech it really made me love it. I just finished watching heaven sent and I have to say that it was defenetly one of the best episodes of Doctor who I have ever seen. Peter capalidi is a wonderful Doctor, he is my favourite out of all the doctors, and I hope he doesn't regerate in the next episode hell bent. I would defenetly pay 40 dollars for this, I would pay 100 dollars for this season it's that good. Defenetly buy.

Karamia54 - Big Dr Who Fan3 star

Sorry to say this season is not so good. It is only OK

Mindslur - Two episodes up, so good so far5 star

Ok first episode was really good… The second one had some great insights but seriously (Spoiler alert critique : sunglasses instead of a sonic screwdriver??? and also, Daleks not able to fly off the planet to save themselves from the sewers??? What gives?)

JLT_ace - $38 getting ridiculous5 star

5/5 only because we're huge fans. Let's see how many episodes are included. Hopefully not split like they've done in the past.

Bk7272 - Heaven Sent Peter Capaldi to be the Doctor5 star

I have watched nearly every episode of Doctor Who and the ones in Season 9 have been the most spectacular in a long time. The writers have done a supurb job with Clara's character portrayed by Jenna Coleman. The accompaning soundtrack adds to the suspense and provides a more compelling delivery to the viewer. I implore you watch the entire season in order, before watching Heaven Sent. Clearly this is one of the finest episodes in it's entire history, and that's saying a lot since the first one aired 53 years ago. Peter Capaldi deserves an Oscar for his outstanding performance in Heaven Sent. When you watch the end of Hell Bent you will simply see the Peter owns the role of the Doctor. IMHO Peter has been the best thing to impact the Whovian Universe, and his superlative acting will bring you on-board. Sci-Fi fan or not, you will hunger for more and impatiently wait for Season 10.

Minecraft creeper TNT - Great season!5 star

This season of Doctor Who was amazing. Totally worth buying. I enjoyed all of this series apart from "Sleep no more." Don't watch this one unless you're a found footage fanatic.

patzel23 - Couldn’t believe it5 star

Last season was boring to me. I watched Capaldis performance and wasn’t a fan. But from episode one when had had the gutair to the last episode when he was just plain Badass made this season one of the best Dr Who seasons ever. 10/10 for me

My Salted Caramel - Doctor Who, Season 95 star

A fantastic season! Nothing more need to be said. Lets enjoy!!

21st Century Film Lover - The first two episodes alone make it all worth it!5 star

The Magician’s Apprentice and The Witch’s Familiar are both spiritual and literal sequels to 1975’s classic Doctor Who story ‘Genesis of the Daleks’ which saw the debut of Davros, creator of the Daleks, and showed what a memorable villain he could be: a scientist who wants to play God on an unbelievable scale. The Series 9 two-parter opener is already a modern classic for Doctor Who fans, and rightly so. This story takes one of television’s greatest baddies and adds several layers to the character as well as revealing an aspect of The Doctor we haven’t seen quite like this before.

Dr Von Wer - What do you do for an encore? I win!5 star

A remarkably strong start to Series 9, a marvellous opening story that glitters with respect for the legacy of the series and mesmerises old and young alike with new intriguing angles that build on what was ushered in when Peter Capaldi was properly introduced to us in Series 8. I’ve no idea where this year’s crop is headed but in times past you end the batch with stories like those we got in eps 1 and 2! One hopes The Doctor’s Meditation, which is meant to follow on from the Prologue and precede The Magician’s Apprentice, will soon be offered here! :-)

SevTheSnape - Completely blew me away5 star

Absolutely fantastic, extraordinary, fabulous! I am loving the new series. It. Is. EPIC. Acting is amazing, the emotions conveyed, the plot gut-twisting, it's definitely worth taking up 1.5 GB of my phone's space downloading HD.

tabbycat1973 - My Favourite Peter Season 😊❤️😊5 star

I enjoyed every episode from this season and I loved the fact that there were a lot of 2 part episodes and the ending of this season was absolutely amazing, but that what you get When Steven, Mark & Peter work together an amazing trio. I also enjoyed this season because it had Clara in it because she is one of my favourite companions of the Doctor’s along with Amy & Sarah Jane, who are all amazing companions of the Doctor’s, but let’s not forget that amazing guitar playing of his at the start of episode 4 were he puts a rock and roll guitar twist on to the amazing starter credits.

Brilliant 😱😱😱

Doctor who rules456 - not justifyable2 star

i have been a doctor who fan since i was two and a half i have all the doctor who episodes dating back to the shows first apperance in november 1963. My complaint is it is now becoming a statement of comercial branding as it seems more and more expensive to purchase these episodes and i am better of getting them second hand from a local entertainment exchange. Just think £21.99 is a bit expensive i love this show more than ever and am a president of a doctor who fan base, I love this show more than ever but struggle to stochmach the price please make it about the fans again instead of a way to make millions and millions a year.

YTVP - Fantastic Series.5 star

A fantastic series, amazing actors and a brilliant series finally. Well worth the £24.99. I have been a fan of Doctor Who since the series revival in 2005 and I watched every single episode since then. Peter Capaldi is one of the best Doctors since David Tennant. Jenna Louise Coleman is one of the best companions since Amy Pond. WATCH, WATCH, WATCH, WATCH, WATCH, WATCH this series most definitely.

Woopwoop007 - Half and Half5 star

When I first started to watch this season, I felt that it was in the middle of okay and awful as Moffat's main weaknesses were shining through a lot. Gradually the series went further and further down hill with the Maisie Williams episodes which really disappointed me a lot as I was expect a little more. However, the following 2-Parter episodes, I felt, picked the season back up again, until the next stand alone episode. After being at my wits end with this on and off business with this season I felt like I should move on however, sticking with it was the best decision of my life as the last three episodes for me I can count as a 3-part episode which they are all counted as singular episodes also. I felt that this was the best last 3 episodes to be seen on doctor who so far, me hunch showed exactly Moffat's strengths making me forgive the badly done episodes before. Overall this season of Doctor Who has been very well crafted with some crappy episodes but in the end they were needed when you come to think of it. So for the bad episodes I have decided to give it a four star rating. Although I would happily buy the last three episodes on their own.

Rekoms - The best yet5 star

This is the series where Peter Capaldi really takes on the Doctor's role and another keeper series. With great-writing and acting both my grand-daughter and I can both enjoy this - it spans our age-gap. I have just the final episode to watch, but epsode 11 was phenomenal.

Japple68 - Apple issue?5 star

Episodes and 6 mini-sodes are visible on Apple TV, but not on Apple Ipad or iPhone. Episode 1 is fantastic. It will be remembered for years to come.

TheBabyBint23 - Good but3 star

Fantastic quality of the episodes and great extras but episode two still hasn't been uploaded despite it now being a week since broadcast. I note that the US iTunes puts up pretty quickly so puzzling as to why episode uploads take a while here.

deadgin - release5 star

for all those complaining about release of this apple has no control over when they are aloud to release episodes in he uk all bbc shows are on bbc iplayer for a week before release on here so quit complaining and use your brains for a change. which meanse episodes take 8ish days before release

smallrouge1 - waiting on episodes5 star

Great price. Disappointed like others that it takes a week for the next episode to be available to download, but I think this might be down to the BBC. They repeat the saturday episode, the following friday on BBC3 and probably think viewing figures will be higher on the friday if people cant get the next episode untill after friday.

Chopdog in Surrey - The reason why episodes are week late5 star

Are totally government charter related, I believe. It's not an iTunes or Doctor Who team fault.

-pb- - He's back and better than ever5 star

I liked but didn't love the last series of Doctor Who but this latest one has started with a bang and carried on giving. For those complaining about the time to wait for each episode, all BBC programmes in the UK have to wait a week to be available on iTunes due to them being on iPlayer for a week and the licence preventing them from being available until after this point. It's annoying, but it's a BBC thing.

Monkeywing - Worth it - eventually!5 star

Takes a week for episodes to load which needs sorting, but so pleased to have this fabulous programme in my library This series looks like it is going to be epic!

MikeyWikeyikey - A long wait but worth it...5 star

Just brilliant

Mikejapan - When will it be available?3 star

Very reasonable price, but it's been a week in the UK and we still can't watch it.

thaigreencurry - Where is episode 1?1 star

Just paid £24.99 for something that still is not available a week after broadcast. Fed up of watching the free trailers and interviews now. One star until I get what I've paid for.

OVES 95 - awful service1 star

so its been nearly a week since episode one was broadcast and i haven’t even got episode 1 yet!!!!!

Pruin86 - Great series so far if only I could watch it! Where Is Ep1?2 star

Really dissapointed that after a week from broadcast we still have no episode 1. Having paid over £20 I really expected more than this, especially with customer service giving me no answers what so ever for it's absence!

Barney Kryptonite - Episode 1 still not available4 star

Why is episode 1 still not available? It is available on both US and AU iTunes but not UK, even though the episode was broadcast two days ago. Hurry up!!!!

&Gr8 - It’s a dream come true!5 star

I’ve been feeling more excited about Series 9, than last year, because us fans had pleaded for more two-parters (since before Series 7), and Steven Moffat is treating us to a full series of epic (and longer) journeys to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the show’s revival! If the series format turns out to be a success, they should use it again for Series 10 and beyond.

Dan Billing - Anticipation5 star

It’s great to see Doctor Who released quickly on iTunes! And at a much more reasonable price than at the release of Season 8. Always use iTunes when I am travelling, so I can keep up to date with my favourite show!

Manc2015 - Can't Wait!3 star

Bought this so that I don't miss out when they are available. Reasonably priced this time too. Not sure what the first reviewer is on about, the series hasn't started on TV yet, are they expecting to download it all before it has aired!!!
