Season Pass ONLY?BBC's Sherlock is a masterpiece. No argument there. My complaint is: Why do I have to buy the whole season pass to get just the aired episode that I want, like how all other episodes of Sherlock have on iTunes?! I NEVER watch the extra content on any piece, and I won't even do that for masterpieces like BBC's Sherlock. For me, they take away from the magic of the ACTUAL STORY. Yes, it's great for fans and it does add some trivia knowledge for watching the piece, but showing the sets, lighting, crew, ..etc take away from the magic. If other people like BTS & interviews and they want to purchase it, great! Just don't force me to buy multiple "episodes" when I only want 1..Score: 1/5
A frenetic boreThis movie was the perfect case study of everything that goes wrong when too much money, too much success, too much fame eclipse all creative integrity of those involved. This was the most superfluous mess I’ve come across in some time. The time travel component was such an obvious indulgence of production budget wealth, that only seemed to happen because it could be afforded. There was really no need for any of that story to take place in another time. You could have had that radical women’s movement now, it just played awkward and confusing, and he’s on drugs, he’s asleep, it’s 1880, it’ 2015, it’s whatever, who cares, I’m so over it. A lot less would have been a lot more. Taste is always about what you take away, not what you put in..Score: 2/5
Where is the season in this season pass??I thought I was purchasing a season - defined as a number of episodes over a number of weeks or months. The price was much too high for this disappointing episode. I am a huge fan of the previous seasons and feel cheated..Score: 1/5
But Seriously, a Season Pass?Five stars because the episode is brilliant and I enjoyed it thoroughly. But to make it a “season” despite being only one episode plus some extras that will probably bore me to tears? Ridiculous. Absolute scam. iTunes isn’t solely to blame, though; Amazon did the same thing (I just checked), so I’m inclined to blame the BBC and Hartswood. I almost went looking to download this free somewhere else. I only bought it to support future seasons (more often than every three years; looking at YOU, Gatiss and Moffat). Pull this kind of crap again and I will NOT be as charitable. (Also, psst, iTunes - beware of punctuation; your use of a comma rather than a colon in the title suggests that Sherlock is the Abominable Bride (although I’m sure he would be one if he ever married!)..Score: 5/5
$15 RIP OFF!!!! Don't buy this on iTunesGreat episode but realized after buying this was one episode for $15! It was advertised as "season pass only" indicating otherwise. Not even a response from iTunes. Thanks for nothing..Score: 1/5
Perfect Parody! The characters have matured, it is great to see them in both the old and the new personas. I enjoyed this one more then the other episodes. All in all.... I rate it Exellent!.Score: 5/5
Fantastic! Not only is the return to the Victorian story of Emilia Ricoletti, the "abominable bride,” a dazzling means of figuring Sherlock’s present-day immersion in his “mind palace” in pursuit of the question of Moriarty’s death, but the episode is so precisely, imaginatively, and wittily written. The dialogue ironically cuts both ways, effectively referencing characters who might be either in Watson's story within Sherlock’s dream, or in Sherlock’s dream within Watson’s story. Marvelous in all ways!.Score: 5/5
Didn't work for me.There was a good mystery but the focus was on the confusing switching between present and past. The actual mystery was suddenly expalined in 30 seconds as an afterthought. I generally look forward to productions from Steven Moffat but between this and the poor Doctor Who Christmas special I'm wondering if he has lost his way..Score: 1/5
DisappointingI have been a huge fan of this series, but this “special” was a big disappointment. Time travel? Please. One of the things that’s been so unique about the series is that it takes place in the present day. By the way, there are three regular episodes in this season, not just this special..Score: 2/5
