Value PropositionI read all the reviews. I am a person of decent means and watch more elevation than I should. I’ve loved Sherlock in the past and am a big fan of both leads. But, this just doesn’t sound like a very good value proposition. While I would miss the $12, I like voting with my money, so I do and I will, and I won’t be buying this at its current price point. A rental option might have been a better way to go..Score: 1/5

Sherlock Isn’t For EveryoneSherlock Holmes isn’t everybody’s cup of tea. It’s not just a simple murder case where they must be solved and you feel like you’re going in circles round and round again, somewhat like NCIS. He is brutally honest, somewhat of a butthead, and is ALWAYS one step (or two) ahead of everyone else. But if you can see passed that, then he is right up your alley. But in regards to this particular episode, I would say (for me) it is dream come true. It took everything that I know about Sherlock Holmes (especially the TV series) and turned it upside down for me. It was refreshing, but it was surprising..Score: 5/5
Great show…but “Season Pass”? Don’t like that a bit Apple...Caveat Emptor… Like many folks here, I assumed that I was buying a whole new Sherlock season… now I realize that I’ve paid for a movie and a bunch of filler all about Sherlock videos…. I made the same assumption about Luther… Looking at the detail section of this show, it says “Season Pass"… I can’t say the iTunes store is deliberately taking advantage of me, but they might go to some lengths to say that we’re buying a one-shot deal….. I have to take responsibility for not reading the fine print…. but I do expect more from Apple…. disappointing....Score: 4/5
Rip off.The episode was fine, but we realized after the fact that we’d paid $15 for ONE episode, and a bunch of behinds-the scenes garbage that no one cares about… WHEN YOU CAN GET THIS FOR FREE VIA PBS. Don’t bother..Score: 3/5
Season Pass ONLY?BBC's Sherlock is a masterpiece. No argument there. My complaint is: Why do I have to buy the whole season pass to get just the aired episode that I want, like how all other episodes of Sherlock have on iTunes?! I NEVER watch the extra content on any piece, and I won't even do that for masterpieces like BBC's Sherlock. For me, they take away from the magic of the ACTUAL STORY. Yes, it's great for fans and it does add some trivia knowledge for watching the piece, but showing the sets, lighting, crew, ..etc take away from the magic. If other people like BTS & interviews and they want to purchase it, great! Just don't force me to buy multiple "episodes" when I only want 1..Score: 1/5
If u are a true fan...Don't waste your time on 'Sherlock: The Abominable Bride'. As a true fan of all preceding Sherlock work that both Benedict and Martin have done under the uber fans and genius of Moffat and Gatiss's vision to stay true to the vision of Conan Doyle while adapting for modern times, this effort as a nod to place the characters in the Victorian era to solve the riddle of Moriarty's presumed survial of a gunshot wound to the head (yeah, right), is ridiculous. Most Sherlockians can pick up quite easily that this is what is transpiring during the course of the episode, Sherlock is in a drug-induced sleep while on the plane and retrieves a case in his mind palace to help him solve the Moriarty mystery. The most unfortunate part of watching two great actors like Benedict and Martin perform the roles that made them a household name is to witness them merely 'go through the motions' as though they fell out of love and are not that interested in these roles anymore because they now have other dynamic roles (all true of course). The best part of this episode is Andrew Scott as Moriarty, his scenes are always stand out and they also reveal the true underlying feelings (hint, subtext) Sherlock bears him. So if you do watch, watch merely for this, that part you wont regret or Mycroft in all his fat-suit glory trying to win a death bet..Score: 2/5
