Truly Great ShowOne of the truly great shows in the history of television. Along with Breaking Bad and Mad Men, one of the three great shows of the modern TV era, and combines the best elements of both of those series. It's a consistently exciting spy thriller, coupled with an incredibly interesting, well written and well acted family drama. Each season is better than the one before because the characters and relationships keep developing and getting more and more entangled. Every character in this show, large and small, seems like a real person, acts and talks like a real person. Once you get used to that, it's actually hard to watch other shows. They seem fake and cartoonish. Just watch the pilot..Score: 5/5
My Favorite show, But. . .I thoroughly enjoyed the first 3 seasons. Season 4 shows noticable increase in laziness in the writing and production, with ever-increasing amounts of filler. I was raised just outside D.C. in the Arlington/Falls Church area when the family is supposed to live. It doesn't help that the show is filmed in NY! I hope they step up their game next year, or I will be done with this show..Score: 4/5

Cold War Era Spycraft at its finestAs a fan of other spy-oriented shows such as Homeland, Blacklist and Deutschland 83 I was immediately hooked from season one of The Americans, a show that continues to up the stakes and only gets better with each season. A great take on the Soviet side of the Reagan Cold War years, and a great period piece throwing back to the 80s. Top notch acting and drama; highly recommend..Score: 5/5
