Gets better every seasonI am not a fan of “reality tv” but this show is more so like a documentary that extends year after year. Unlike most of the reality tv shows loaded with fake drama that you can tell is scripted, Deadliest Catch just tells it like it is. I just hope Discovery doesn’t stop filming..Score: 5/5
Not the only danger jobThey glorify this job as so dangerous and hard when there are a select few that are so much worse. I give it three stars because it is very important to show people ONE type of job that some men and women endure for a paycheck..Score: 3/5

Good to see new captainsI like seeing Jake develop as a captain, but I don't understand some of the legalities in running a boat -- for example, Jake had to chase Jaime into town to sign a document showing Jake was no longer legally liable for his safety, whereas when Cory went AWOL before the start of the Bairdi trip they just threw his stuff overbaord and took off. I assume if a deck hand doesn't "start" a trip then the captain has no legal liability? In any case, it seems like hiring deck hands is tricky and I bet all the captains could benefit from thinking out of the box re recruiting..Score: 5/5
Deadliest Catch season 12 two thumbs up..One of the best documentary of crab fishing to date.. Discovery team and fishing crew make this show so great.. Amazing camera shots in such a harsh environment. Hats off to you.. Makes me sea sick just watching...Score: 5/5
Loved this show from the git goI have followed every season of this show and I just love watching these guys do some of the things they do. It's always amazing watching these guys do what they do. I look back into my best days as a professional football player and I have doubts that I could do this job very well. If it came down to my family, I would of course not hesitate .
