High-flying London PR executive Agatha Raisin (Ashley Jensen, Extras, Ugly Betty) fulfills a lifelong dream of retiring to a small village in the Cotswolds. Desperate to fit in, she enters the local quiche-baking competition, only to find herself a suspect when her entry kills the judge. To save her reputation, Agatha sets out to solve the murder, with the help of her former assistant, Roy (Mathew Horne, Gavin & Stacey); eager Detective Constable Bill Wong (Matt McCooey, Invizimals); and her cleaner, Gemma (Katy Wix, Torchwood). Along the way, Agatha discovers that she has a talent for crime solving, even if it means her new life in the country is not the quiet idyll she had imagined.

The Pilot is MIssingOnce again, I find myself scratching my head thinking what is the problem with iTunes Store? Just as they did with many, many other TV series they managed to leave out key episodes. They did it with Cadfael, Sherlock Holmes, LEXX and many more. THis TV adaptation of M.C. Beaton's "Agatha Raisin" is jolly good fun and quite lighthearted entertainment especially since it's supposed to be murder mystery & crime solving. Sadly, iTunes has chosen to delete the firts episode: PILOT "The Quiche of Death" that was 1.5 hours long and introduced the key players. The Pilot episode also explains how Agatha finds herself retired from her hugely successful & lucrative PR firm now living in the Cotswolds (country)..Score: 4/5

PLEASE BRING AGATHA BACK FOR MORE SEASONS!Dear Acorn! PUH-LEASE bring AGATHA RAISIN BACK FOR MORE THAN 3 episodes. That is just a travesty that there are only 3 for Season 2. THIS IS AN EXCELLENT SHOW AND ASHLEY JENSEN IS SUPERB!! STELLAR! Why change the format?! âIf it ainât broke donât fix it!â You should have kept this at 10 episodes instead of trying new shows! I want to give up my subscription just for what youâve done. The Exec at Acorn who decided this should be fired. The only reason why I purchased ACORN was for the AGATHA RAISIN series.
