Thank God Moffat is leaving!I’ve been a fan of Doctor Who since I was old enough to watch TV and catch the then current 80’s and 90’s episodes that ran on PBS and then the older ones when they were re-run. Every iteration of the Doctor has its ups and downs and that’s almost entirely due to the writer. Every single Steven Moffat episode has been horrible. Stuck with this romance that takes up all of the plot and action and makes the Doctor look like an stumbling drunk in love with his new female companion that he is so totally in love with; each one right? Steven Moffat would have the Doctor helpless without his sonic screwdriver or just helpless in general save for Clara and he ruined the Master. Thank all that is good and decent that his was his last run and that’s reason enough to rejoice. Sad we lost Peter Capaldi but at least he went out on a good note with the return of the true cybermen - not the robots we usually see..Score: 4/5

WonderfulIf you're worried about the new gay character then pack your bags and go elsewhere. This show opens your mind and helps you see through that. The dynamic of the character is amazing. Such a strong personality. Think of it this way, if you don't like Judas Priest because of who Halford is sleeping with, then don't buy it. But if you can see artistic value behind it, be really open minded then this is the most rewarding episode I've seen to date..Score: 5/5

Very disappointing for life long fanI never that I'd say this, but this season might be the reason I stop watching Dr Who until they can put the excitement, fun and enjoyment back into the series. I have been an avid fan since Tom Baker in the 70's. This has been a underwhelming season. When Clara finally left the show after overstaying her visit by 2 years I thought maybe Peter Capaldi might get the chance to shine. No such luck. The new companion, Bill, is also a diappointing character. I don't know if this is her first acting gig or not, but I do hope she is not here next season. Hopefully, next year there with be a new and more envigorating Dr. Who and a companion who is at least in the class of a Sarah Jane, Amy & Rory, Rose or Martha. If you don’t get a thrill from putting down the politically out of step and want to laugh at a mad sifi show then, well, The Doctor is still here and the actor who plays him is a good actor, even the new companion is played by a good actor and brings a different kind of quirky fun to the show. The writers so far haven’t found out how to capitalize on Capaldi’s strengths but for the most part he holds it together. If they have all the working parts-The Time Lords-then they are men in every way. The good bits and the bad. To have them regenerate into women is interesting but I'm not sure with what I've seen here it will be done right. Missy is what Time Lords turn into when they regenerate into women. I'm not interested in seeing Molly Weasley as Dr. Who. With a lot of thought it can be done but not when you're afraid to say anything for fear of being called a misogynist.
