Goodbye Peter Capaldi! Wish we had more time with you:(I'm sad to see Peter Capaldi leave. But he couldn't have had a better ending. Just wish he could have had one more season. I also hope they keep the show kid friendly. And keep it science time travel and explore different worlds too. The writters move away from that in the past seasons. Making more about who is dating who. And that just got old fast. And I had to prewatch each show to make sure my child could watch it. Didn't have to worry about those things with the Classic Doctor Who..Score: 5/5
Another factor to considerI'm only speculating, but since the Christmas Special's one night theatrical run in American cinemas is on Wednesday, the 27th, I wouldn't be surprised if the episode became available on iTunes on Thursday or Friday..Score: 3/5
Excited for the future!I liked this episode. Previously, my favorite Doctor Who Christmas special was Titanic. Seems morbid because almost everyone dies in the end. But I just love seeing the doctor stuck with a bunch of people, and how they work together to survive... almost. Midnight and even Planet of the Dead are both great examples of this. But this was the kind of Christmas Story where, the "villains" aren't really malicious. I loved the fact that they brought the first doctor back for this episode. Although most of the jokes are "It's 2017 grandpa, don't say stuff like that" I don't quite understand the point of why the Doctor went to Scaro... unless, Rusty brought them there. idk. But it had a really sweet ending which really brought the whole "this is Christmas" thing to a close. The 1st Doctor Regenerates. And the 12th Doctor Regenerates. I am really excited for Jodi Wittaker! Like Tennant turning into Matt Smith, a lot of things are changing for doctor who! New companion, new show-runner, new doctor, new tardis. And I wouldnt be surprised if they made the jump from HD to 4K.... probably not. But it seems interesting that Jodi Whittaker, David Bradly, and David Tennant who are all part of Doctor Who was also part of Broadchurch. And now, Broadchurch is coming to Doctor Who. Knowing them, they will get the guy who played Dean Thomas (Alfred Enoch) to be the companion. Anyway. I am really excited. I loved Cipaldi as the Doctor. Season 9 was the best. Season 8 got pretty dark, they didn't know what direction to take him. And season 10.... frankly, they all felt like they were phoning it in. The 2 who played The Master/Mistress especially. Their final scene felt so awkward..Score: 5/5

Best Final EpisodeThis poignant, funny, and quite frankly brillaint episode is easily the best final episode any Doctor has ever had. It hits all the right notes and leaves you anxious for the next season. I'm sad to see this creative team go, but I'm really excited for what comes next..Score: 5/5
Not one of the best regeneration stories.I found this good-bye to Peter Capaldi to be a disappointment. Yes, the merging of Doctor images from the 1960s and 2010s was technically impressive. The bubble montage to previous Doctors was nice but scattered. As a tribute to his companions, there was not enough Clara and too much Phil (one of the modern Doctor's most annoying companions. The whole concept of the story is that it's OK to let go and let then next in like take over. A concept that could have taken 10 min. to tell. The episode was bloated by efftects that added little to the story. There was one layer of filler on top of even more filler. Not one of the best good-bye a Doctor has had..Score: 3/5
This is amazingTwice Upon a Time is Peter Capaldi's graceful bow out of Doctor Who, filled with humor and plot, if you are sort of gushy like me, you might just cry. I also love the flashback to some of those first episodes of Doctor Who. I recommend this highly..Score: 5/5

It's ok like Bill10 Seasons of Dr. Who WOW! An amazing run so if Steven stumbled a few steps along he way we let it slide yes? I think so but I will nit pick a tiny bit. Bill's character was boring. Bringing her back was a mistake. I quite like that she was made into Cyberman. I thought that was brilliant. This Christmas Special didn't touch on anything relevant to our times. Coincidentally I read and article on Twitter about the troops coming out of the treches and shaking hands. So that was fun. Clara returning was a let down. I liked her a lot, I think we all did. This really should have have been longer and more. More of eveything the Doctor talked about before he regenerated. I like how the ship reacts to the regeneration it's almost a rejection wouldn't you say. I heard Steven is moving on. I will watch next season but my expectations are zero. The show runner is the show. Without that primemover it's becomes a different thing. The Actors changed but Steven was always there. NEVER CRUEL, NEVER COWARDLY AND IF YOU ARE THEN MAKE AMENDS. Hasn't itunes always released these 24 hours past airdate? This was a lovely episode. It was a bit clunky, the characterization of the First Doctor was off, and knowing what historically happened the next day tainted the big feel-good moment, so I can’t give it five stars, but from “Last time on Doctor Who,” it was fun, surprising, and a fitting conclusion to Peter Capaldi’s arc. I didn’t know that he’d become my favourite Doctor when he started, but by a wide margin he has. “Always be kind.”.Score: 4/5
ITunes, you’ve got to get better at customer service!Would it be too much to ask, that you indicate clearly when something you are selling is available? I purchased this year’s Doctor Who Christmas Special, to watch with my family on Christmas night, after supper. Had I known that it wouldn’t actually be available till after Christmas I wouldn’t have bothered! Nowhere, that I can see, has a release date! You’ve one for the expanded trailer (December 9, 2017) but nothing for the special itself. I understand that it must first air on local networks (Space, in Canada) but still, having a release date for iTunes would be helpful! We’ve made a choice as a family to not have have cable anymore, largely because of having iTunes and Netflix - so, little things like a release date would be helpful!
