Slooooow and boringThese episodes are a trudge to get through. They could have done this whole show in 3. Instead we have several boring subplots and aimless dialogue that meander from ep to ep. Ugh. This one’s a clunker..Score: 2/5

Insanely boring, and tediousDo not understand the fuss. Awful writing, sets and FX that make Doctor Who look like an Oscar winner, and long episodes about how to ration tins of beans. This turned out to be a decent sleep-aid. When you find out what is actually hunting these idiots, it beggars belief that it could take down two ships of highly trained sailors and marines. If I see one more styrofoam iceberg I'm going to lose my mind..Score: 1/5

Can we pick up the pace?At the end of 4 episodes I find myself wishing The Terror would get on with it. After setting up its premise and defining its characters very well in the first two episodes, It is now, let's say, skating on some pretty thin ice. The storytelling has begun to feel as bleak and monotonous as the lives of the characters, and their cat-and-mouse with whatever is attacking them is less terror than routine. For a thriller-chiller things have gotten pretty slack. I hope the pace will pick up in the next few episodes. Meanwhile, it looks phenomenal, as most TV costume drama does now. The dialogue, even when the plot is dawdling, sounds authentic to the time. And the cast is great. It's just that the story seems to be lagging behind those other elements. That happens a lot in TV costume dramas, too..Score: 3/5
