Period piece eye candyThe colors paid close attention too, the cleavage plump and always present, the cinematography just right to make each scene look like a painting. I haven’t read the book, but Anya Taylor-Joy drew me in with her horror history so I figured there must be something dark here under the surface or else, why would she sign on? I’m intrigued after watching the first episode on PBS, enough so that I’ll watch the next episode and perhaps the next. The story unveils in slow but steady pace and the first episode leaves just enough mystery to make you wonder, “Is there something sinister happening?” I look away 1 star because the first episode didn’t wow me in terms of story telling. It did look good though. I will re-evaluate my review after completing the season..Score: 4/5

Unexpectedly fascinating!I had no idea what this was about and didn't expect much. After watching the first episode, I am hooked and cannot wait for the next episode to be released (hint, hint itunes!). The first episode delved into the characters' individual stories and the start of their combined story. You watch the entire episode knowing that something is around the corner but you don't know what until the layers begin to peel away and the secrets begin to reveal themselves. Fascinating character story and plot...looking forward to the twists and turns that are in store for us..Score: 5/5

Show great, itunes not great at allI agree with some other comments: we are getting episodes late, much longer after they came on air and irregularely, that for many different shows. we paid for a service when we purchase content on itunes and it is aweful... better get on with the program, itunes is getting far behind growing competitors... helloooo!!!! itunes!!! anyone working there???? where is the rest of this show???? i paid for it and it’s weekly, why are we not getting it????.Score: 5/5
