Will & Grace ('17), Season 2 Synopsis

1 - The West Side Curmudgeon
Grace's (Debra Messing) accidental run in with Noah (guest star David Schwimmer), a curmudgeonly man she follows on Twitter, hints at a possible new love interest. Jack (Sean Hayes) wants to look younger before meeting Estefan's (guest star Brian Jordan Alvarez) family on Skype but makes a terrible first impression after overdoing the numbing cream before his facial procedure. Meanwhile, Will (Eric McCormack) helps Karen (Megan Mullally) protect the intellectual property rights of her most prized possession.

2 - Where in the World Is Karen Walker?
Will (Eric McCormack), Grace (Debra Messing) and Jack (Sean Hayes) are upset when they discover they've been too preoccupied with the changes in their own lives: Will teaching law at Columbia, Grace running for president of the New York Interior Designers Society and Jack's new relationship with Estefan (guest star Brian Jordan Alvarez) to even notice Karen (Megan Mullally) has not been seen in days -- ever since her husband found out about her affair with Malcolm (guest star Alec Baldwin).

3 - Tex and the City
Will (Eric McCormack) and Jack (Sean Hayes) visit Jack's grandson, Skip (guest star Samuel Faraci), in Texas to watch him perform at his church's talent show. But when Jack learns Skip plans on singing "Diamonds Are A Girl's Best Friend," he becomes afraid for his grandson's safety. Karen (Megan Mullally) tags along to check out the portion of the border wall she sponsored, only to discover that Beverley Leslie (guest star Leslie Jordan) has claimed it as his own. Back home, Grace (Debra Messing) and Noah (guest star David Schwimmer) try to figure out if something is wrong in their relationship because their numerous attempts to have sex have failed.

4 - Who's Sorry Now?
Will (Eric McCormack) and Grace (Debra Messing) discover old letters written to each other from their college days, and decide to read them together. But reminiscing about the past turns ugly when a major bombshell is revealed in one of the letters. Meanwhile, when Karen (Megan Mullally) announces she'll never fall in love again, Jack (Sean Hayes) channels Rosario - or does he? - to convince her it's never too late to find love.

5 - Grace's Secret
When Grace (Debra Messing) joins her father (guest star Robert Klein) on a road trip, a secret from her past is finally revealed, causing father and daughter to address something that will change their relationship forever. Meanwhile, Will (Eric McCormack), Karen (Megan Mullally), and Jack (Sean Hayes) celebrate Jack's engagement at a gay bar run by legendary drag queen Miss Coco Peru (Clinton Leupp). When it's revealed that Jack has chosen both of them to be his best man, Will and Karen have a lip-sync monologue throwdown to determine who truly deserves the coveted title.

6 - Kid 'n Play
Will (Eric McCormack) discovers that Noah (guest star David Schwimmer) has a child he hasn't told Grace (Debra Messing) about, but is now sworn to secrecy. Karen (Megan Mullally) and Jack's (Sean Hayes) relationship is tested when she fires him from the play she's producing and replaces him with Jon Cryer (guest star).

7 - So Long, Division
Will (Eric McCormack) convinces Grace (Debra Messing) that her boyfriend, Noah (guest star David Schwimmer), isn't in the wrong by refusing to let her meet his daughter, Katie. When Grace goes to apologize to Noah, she unintentionally meets Katie. Meanwhile, Will's mom, Marilyn (guest star Blythe Danner), visits after the death of her beloved dog, and becomes upset when she doesn't get the emotional support she expects from her son. And Jack (Sean Hayes) gets into an argument with his rec center boss, Theo (guest star Derek Gaines).

8 - Anchor Away
In order to land a handsome, gay TV news anchor (guest star Matt Bomer) with a pension for dim, frothy men, Jack (Sean Hayes) convinces Will (Eric McCormack) to not be himself and to act like someone silly and stupid - does he know anyone like that? Karen (Megan Mullally) learns that her alimony will be severely limited unless she can get photos of her ex-husband's affair with Lorraine Finster (guest star Minnie Driver), so she enlists Grace (Debra Messing) to go with her to the strip club where Lorraine works. Olympian Adam Rippon has a cameo as a barista with an attitude.

I watched the first episode of Season 2 and THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR NOT MAKING THIS SEASON POLITICAL. (at least so far...) I'm willing to give the series (which was one of my favorite shows ever) another chance. Thank you for listening!

A shell of its former self  ADean85  2 star

Although it has its moments, it doesn’t come close even to the the worst episodes of the original run.

Did the 2nd episode air first?  yippiyyip  4 star

As much as I like me some fab 4, it seems that they aired the second episode of the season as the premire Anyone else agree.
