Shortly after defeating The Thinker, Barry Allen aka The Flash (Grant Gustin) and his wife, Iris West-Allen (Candice Patton), were stunned by the arrival of their already grown, speedster daughter from the future, Nora West-Allen (Jessica Parker Kennedy). However, acclimating to their new lives as parents won’t be the only challenge they face, as season five pits Team Flash against Central City’s latest scourge – the DC Super-Villain Cicada. A grizzled, blue-collar everyman whose family has been torn apart by metahumans, Orlin Dwyer aka Cicada (Chris Klein) now seeks to exterminate the epidemic — one metahuman at a time.

Show is getting oldThe show was cool in the beginning, but now it's just getting repetitive and predictable. I am so over this whole "we musn't kill the bad guys" crap that the characters are stuck on. So much heartache and drama could have been prevented if they would just get over themselves and do what needs to be done. This season is particularly stupid and frustrating because they continuosly disarm or knock out the bad guy, but then they stand around for two minutes talking or congratulating each other, giving the bad guy time to get back up and strike or get away. I've literally lost count of how msny times this has happened. At least 6. Don't just stand there! Put hand cuffs on them! Lock them up in Star labs! Do something! So irritating. I do love the parent-child dynamic introduced in this season though. Even though the characters are about the same age, it really feels like Nora is Barry and Iris' daughter, which is a testament to both the acting and the casting..Score: 3/5
