Based on the British series Miranda, CALL ME KAT stars Emmy Award nominee Mayim Bialik (The Big Bang Theory) as a woman who struggles every day against society and her mother to prove that she can live a happy and fulfilling life despite still being single at 39. Which is why she recently spent her entire savings to open a cat café in Louisville, KY. Kat’s mother Sheila views her daughter’s singlehood as her own personal failure, but Kat remains determined to chart her own course. Working alongside Kat are Randi, a confident millennial and “non” cat person, and Phil, who recently broke up with his longtime partner. Although Kat celebrates her independence, her single-forever plans may begin to veer off-course, when her former crush and good friend, Max returns to town and takes a job as a bartender at the piano bar across the street, working with his friend, Carter.

Love this show!I’m a fan of Mayim, and I also love Miranda Hart star of the British show this series is based on. Based on the negative reviews lots of people have never seen that show! Also too folks have to remember we’re living through a pandemic so there’s no live audience so that makes a difference as well. Give it a chance!.Score: 5/5

Being 45 To 47 is not a crimeThe episode in Season One where Kat is nominated for the under 40 award and the episode where she is debating saving her eggs for a future baby is like the 21 jump street cops going undercover as teenagers. The actress was born December 1975 and I was not sure if I was more “you go girl be what age you want to be” or more “why not make a great show for woman in your age group who don’t get a lot of great shows” because we all know that women over 40 vanish in the mist somehow. I ended up with the why do women have to be in their 20s and 30s to get a tv show on their life now days and even when they are not they are faking it to get the show. She is nearly 50 and that is not anything to be ashamed of or to pretend otherwise..Score: 1/5
