In the finale of season one, Bauer, who headed up the Los Angeles branch of the Counter Terrorist Unit (CTU), thwarted an assassination attempt on the life of Senator David Palmer. However, in the process, Jack's wife Teri was murdered by turncoat agent Nina Myers. In the season two premiere episode "8:00-9:00 AM", Jack and his daughter Kim continue to deal with the trauma of Teri's loss, and the effect it has had on their relationship. But with one phone call, Jack, who has been inactive since Teri's death more than a year ago, is called upon by David Palmer -- now President Palmer -- to stop another terrorist plot with global implications. The clock begins ticking again...

My favorite seasonI love 24 but this has to be my favorite season. I really liked how they tied Kate Warner and her family into this.. Looks like Jack has a new lady.. (Kate). Kim needs to get over her mothers death though.. O well... At least they stopped the nuke..Score: 5/5

Best show ever!This show is the real deal. jack bauer is the man. once i started watching i couldn't stop. it keeps you on the edge of your seat for the entire hour of the episode. be sure to watch it in order or else you will be confused big time. don't even read the descriptions of the shows you haven't seen because it will give too much away. could be the best show ever put on tv. highly recommended! iTunes-- get seasons 3 & 4 ASAP!.Score: 5/5
24 season for 16.99?Just so you are aware, Target doesn't sell 24 seasons at 16.99 like that one post said. I looked online and the only thing that Target sells sells relating to 24 that is 16.99 are a couple of books about the seasons. That guy must have ordered them online and misunderstood what they were, so don't anyone fall into that same mistake and buy a bunch of books by accident. The problem appears to be because the books were so nicely named the 24 companion seasons 1&2, but if you look close, it says it is a paperback book and is a behind the scenes look at the extravaganza that is 24. It has the most suspense and makes you like kim b. which is the only season where you can. The best season of 24? Maybe.In Day 2, Jack Bauer is a tortured and broken man. The events of Day 1 destroyed his life and wrecked his career, leaving him an emotional wreck, teetering ever so precariously on the ragged edge. And it just gets better from there. Unlike Day 1, Jack is a hard man with a hard edge. He does things in the first 5 episodes of Day 2 that to this day remain some of the most violent and memorable moments of the show as a whole. Jack's killer edge is one of the main drivers for Day 2, giving everything a psychotic urgency that lets the show spin into some dark and very controversial territory. It happens like this, terrorists gets a nuclear bomb into the US, and newly elected President David Palmer has to ask Jack to come back to work one year after the events of Day 1. Jack doesn't want anything to do with it but in the first instance of a pattern to come, Jack bows to the wisdom and grace that made David Palmer one of the best Presidents to ever grace television. But one of the great things about Day 2 is that the characters that populate CTU were fleshed out almost as much as Jack due to a massive event at CTU early on in the season. Tony Almeida and Michelle Dessler are of special note as their chemistry conditions the darkness with just a little sweet, making Day 2 all the better. Depsite this enthusiastic review, Day 2 does contain one of the most lambasted and regrettable storylines in the history of 24: the Kim/Mountain Lion arc. I won't talk about. I don't want to embarass the shows creators any more. In closing, Day 2 ranks as one of the most exciting and crazy rides in the history of televion, and damn was it fun..Score: 4/5

24 Chances to get ripped off!Amazing show, the second series is full of the adrenaline and suspense that makes this show so popular. Chuck in some almighty plot twists and clever character behaviours and this series elevates the bar by which serialised drama should be judged! Now I have been ever praiseful of the show, which is easily a 5Star show, but in this instance... Apple, what on this earth are you playing at? £38.99...... Amazon: £22.97 for instance! Considering buying this sort of thing online via iTunes means that you don't get the packaging and booklets etc, therefore, there are no packaging costs to pass on.... A tad far fetchedAt times laughable ... it really strained my credulity. At times pretty sadistic (torture scenes) but universally well acted, and well paced. I still enjoyed it but not nearly as much as the first series. But my enjoyment of the first series was a little marred when I read the blurb for the second as it gave one of the major series 1 twists away..Score: 2/5
