The sixth season of 24 picks up 20 months after last season's shocking finale, when Jack Bauer was captured by Chinese government agents and taken, battered and bloodied, to points unknown. After a series of horrific terrorist attacks, President Palmer and his team of advisors, Karen Hayes and Thomas Lennox, as well as Jack's CTU colleagues Chloe O'Brian, Curtis Manning, Bill Buchanan, and newcomer Mike Doyle, begin an unthinkable, nail-biting day. Former President Logan and his wife, Martha, return, along with Milo Pressman and Chloe's ex, Morris O'Brian, for another day of action.
Jack Bauer, agent of CTU (Counter Terrorist Unit) faces threats against his country and himself in this action packed show. Each season contains of one day, each episode shows one hour of Jack Bauer's day. 24 is the only action show in real time and gained a lot of fans during the years with this concept.

Great, very addictingI abslutely love 24 and I'm addicted to it. Ive seen all the seasons 3 times. Didnt like the 6th one as much as the others. But it was still good. I reccomend buying it on dvd though. It doesnt take up all that space on your ipod..Score: 4/5

First i watched!This was the first season of 24 i watched which is kinda weird since you should start with one. but before i watched it i wasnt much of a violent action person but after season 6 i love it! i love how the show keeps you on the edge of your seat. after watching season 6 i went back over the summer and watched seasons 1-5. even though i thought this was one of the weaker seasons it still deserves five stars. every season of 24 deserves 5 stars, easily. best show on tv! how i rate the seasons: 1. 4 2. 5 3. 1 4. 2 5. 6 6. 3.Score: 5/5

A scar on the face of 2424 was once one of the greatest shows on TV. After the ridiculously phenomenal season 5, the show took a heart-wrenching plunge into darkness. The show still had plenty of exciting and praise-worthy moments, including Jean Smart's brilliant reprisal for, sadly, only one episode, but many of the plotlines were ludicrous. Many of 24's exciting moments (assassination attempts, attacks on CTU, etc.) fell into relapse making the new occurances boring and the former ones not as impactive. I viewed simply because I like the show, but it did not keep me hooked. Most of the characters this season were nobodies because they killed too many people off. They seriously need to redeveloped their characters and bring us some characters we can love as much as Tony and Michelle. Some of the drama, especially between Chloe and Morris, seemed childish at best, however, some characters who, in foresight, seemed capable of creating a good storyline (i.e. Mike) were removed from the show. 24 needs to reset the clock, go back to the drawing board, and make itself what it used to be..Score: 3/5

Not the bestThe Sixth Season started out well. The plot was good along with the involvement of Jack's father. However, once the original plot was resolved, the season fell from the sky in flames. It appeared they were just running out of ideas with like 7 episodes to go. I expected more out of the writers (especially after season 5). The final minutes also failed to capture much for me. Very little drama and almost an indication that not only Jack Bauer but also the show was giving up. Hopefully 7 will live up to the name 24..Score: 3/5
Best Darn TV Show. PeriodThis is the best show on tv. Alot of people think it is to stupid, or it doesn't make sense, but they just don't pay attension. This is the most suspensful and addictive show probably ever created. Season 6 was just a little under par compared to the other seasons, but it still kicks every other show's butt. If you never have seen this show and are thinking about starting to watch it, start with the first season. It is arguably the best season and it is the perfect place to start. 24This is without doubt one of the best TV series out at the moment and a definate must buy, with this season being one of the best due to its numerous twists and turns throughout its entirety. In this season Jack returns from his time in a Chinese prison after 20 months detainment and is put into the fold when he descovers that terrorists are trying to set off suitcase nuclear devices in the United States. Later, Jack has to prevent sensitive circuitry from falling into the hands of the Chinese to prevent a war between the US and Russia. This is a must watch season!.Score: 5/5
If you like 24 - DON'T BUY THISWhy you may ask, would i put a title such a this? Let me explain...since the first episode of this brilliant programme was first aired, I have been hooked. I am not alone. My fellow 24 fans and I find each series captivating, exciting and, as one other reviewer put it, sublime. They introduce characters just at the right moment in every season, they take characters out at the most unexpected moments in every season and they leave the highly engaged viewer in a complete state of limbo when the episode finishes with the now synonymous beeps. My fellow fans equally, are the ones who, maybe not immediately but eventually, always go and buy the dvd box sets. I remember paying about £40 for my first box set - then i learned patience. My second 24 box set i bought for just £28. I remeber thinking this was a bargain but as time as gone on, dvd's have got cheaper and this, my good readers is the reason for my post on here. The price iTunes are charging is hiddeously and disgustingly inflated. I have just bought Season 6 of 24 on DVD, brand new for £15.99 and no, it wasn't from a chinese guy with a black bag slung over his shoulder! I have also recently purchased a piece of 3rd party software for removing the content of my new box set dvd's and creating a sparkly new mp4 file in 640 x 380 size with stereo sound. The file size is almost identical to the ones you download. Simply import into iTunes, transfer to iPod and bob's your mother's brother. Now I have the advantage of watching at home or on the go. iTunes folks would probably argue that my way is labour intensive and will take longer than downloading....not so say I. Admittedly, I have a fairly new PC so the processor is bi or dual or whatever it is, and i have 2gb's of ram (get me..........what does it mean) but i put it to the test for the purposes of writing this. I have paid for and downloaded this silly price itunes version and on an 8mb broadband line on which i average about 3.5 - 4.5mb speeds, it has so far taken 26 hours and I'm on episode 21. Downloading isn't too bad but the file processing once it's downloaded is shockingly slow - even with this computer. I bought the box set, bought the software and disc by disc, added the content to my computer and i completed it all, including importing and transferring to my iPOD in 9 hours at the best quality i could. If i had done it in 320 x 240, which to be honest, you can get away with on the 5th gen iPods, i could have completed it in about 5 hours. When will the guys at iTunes learn that their customers cannot be treated in this way? It's disgusting. We are paying DOUBLE what our friends over the Atlantic are. We are paying DOUBLE what most internet and high strret shops are charging for DVD versions and there is only so long they can get away with it. (Pause for a great tip - if any of you have friends or relatives in the states or with a bank account in the states, do a deal with them whereby you transfer money into their account (simple to do through paypal) once a month and in return, you use their american itunes account.....you can then download stuff from that site for use over here - i have a deal with my brother in law and it works great. I buy what i want from there and he buys music he wants from here!!! Give it a go! Anyway............) My advice is simple. Get the software, find the box set cheaper, do whatever you have to do but seriously, 'IF YOU LIKE 24 - DON'T BUY THIS'.Score: 5/5

Great, but what about the rest?Very addictive indeed. But as a matter of pure curiosity, does anyone know why itunes only feature seasons 1 and 6? Isn't there some numbers missing here, and why? I have the DVD boxset, however i felt i should say that the Season is certainly worth buying be it by download or on DVD etcetera. I really disliked Season 5, i thought it was a huge let-down from previous seasons; a Season i felt ruined by stupid characters, namely the dreaded Mrs Logan and "They kidnapped my little Girl" Evelyn Martin. Dont get me wrong, Season 5 had some good bits, but they were sadly ruined by annoying dialogues primarily from Mrs Logan which effectively ruined the season for me, as every scene she was in, it just made me want to switch off. I stuck with it, and so went on to Season 6, with high hopes after watching the initial teaser trailer aired in-advance of the then /new/ season. It starts of great and naturally continues on from where Season 5 ended; though Season 3 is my favorite and in my opinion the best 24 season made to date, season 6 was so much more enjoyable and entertaining then Season 5 and for that i strongly recommend purchasing this Season as a refresher/redeemer for the flop that was Season 5.I will start by saying i did not purchase this via iTunes.
