Jack Bauer at his bestDay 4 is Jack Bauer at his best. It is my favorite season of 24 because of the action, the ending, and Habib Marwan. He may be an evil SOB terrorist, but when it comes to attacking a nation, he is a genius. Can you imagine what the implications would be if Marwan had succeeded fully in all of his attacks? Jack Bauer már nem dolgozik a CTU-nál, heroinfüggősége miatt kirúgták, jelenleg James Heller védelmi miniszter titkára, s titkos viszonyt folytat a miniszter lányával. A krízis beálltával ugyanakkor Jack ismét a CTU-ba kerül, majd amikor James Hellert lányával együtt elrabolják, és a nyilvános kivégzésével fenyegetőznek, az iroda vezetője kénytelen Jacket ismét állományba helyezni. Az hamar világossá válik, hogy az emberrablás egy még nagyobb és veszélyesebb terv része, az ellenség minden eddiginél ravaszabb, hiszen évek óta készültek a nagy dobásra. Jack hogy megállítsa a terrorista sejteket irányító Habib Marwant, Kínával is konfliktusba keveri az országot.


シーズン3から18か月後のある1日が物語の舞台。ジャックは麻薬中毒だった過去を上官に「弱点になる」と指摘されCTUを解雇され、国防⾧官の特別補佐官として働いていた。1年前にCTUを解雇されて以来初めて、国防⾧官代理としてCTU LA支局を訪れたジャックは その日の朝に発生した列車爆破事件の実行犯と遭遇。犯人から本当の狙いが国防⾧官の拉致だと聞き出したジャックは、⾧官に避難するよう知らせる。ジャックは⾧官を救出するまで復職してもらえるよう支部⾧に頼んだ。


在这一季里面，杰克·鲍尔（基弗·萨瑟兰 Kiefer Sutherland 饰）戒掉了在第三季中染上的毒瘾，并且离开了CTU而开始为国防部长工作。但是杰克始终摆脱不了与CTU的联系，剧集一开始一场恐怖袭击致使的列车出轨事故使CTU不得不召回杰克进行此事的调查。才深入调查此事没多久，杰克就发现恐怖分子的下一个目标就是国防部长。经过杰克的努力，好不容易解救了被绑架的国防部长，化解了这次危机。原本以为可以松一口气的杰克，却发现刺杀国防部长只是恐怖分子设置的一个扰乱CTU调查的小环节。恐怖分子的真正目的是控制全美国的核电站，通过让核电站超负荷运转引起核泄漏进而威胁全美国，危机这才真正上演……

Čtvrtá série se odehrává patnáct měsíců po předešlé. Islámští teroristé pod vedením Habiba Marwana tentokrát provádějí mnoho útoků po celém USA. Povede se jim unést ministra obrany Jamese Hellera, ale jeho popravě živě na internetu Jack a CTU zabrání. Teroristé dále získají kontrolu nad jadernými elektrárnami, sestřelí Air Force One a tím zneškodní prezidenta ap. Jack Bauer je v rámci akce mnohokrát donucen překračovat předpisy, a proto je na konci série nucen předstírat vlastní smrt, aby unikl následkům nejen z USA, ale také z Číny, protože v rámci jedné akce je nucen přepadnout čínskou ambasádu. Tímto tak pro něj končí jeho dosavadní život i jeho nový vztah s Audrey Hellerovou, dcerou ministra obrany.

4ª Temporada
A quarta temporada se passa 18 meses após a terceira, e começa às 7h, em Los Angeles. Na trama, Bauer precisa salvar a vida do Secretário de Defesa e seu novo chefe, James Heller, e sua filha, Audrey Raines, com quem o agente tem um caso amoroso. Isso porque os dois foram sequestrados por terroristas que, em paralelo, lançam outros ataques sobre os Estados Unidos. Para contornar a situação, Bauer precisa usar métodos “não ortodoxos”, que têm consequências sobre ele e sobre o País.

第4季（2005）發生在上一季一年半後，傑克·鮑爾為國防部長工作。主要劇情為恐怖份子先綁架國防部長，通過網上直播審判過程來吸引全球數據流，以此為障眼法暗中破壞美國所有核設施的防火墻。另一方盜取軍方一架F-117隱形戰鬥機，將美國總統乘坐的空軍一號擊落，取得總統手中能夠操縱美國核武器的手提箱，發動一枚核彈，目的地不為外人所知。中途在追捕恐怖分子頭目哈比·馬旺時，還牽扯到CTU秘密侵入中國駐洛杉磯總領事館抓捕一名與其有聯繫的華籍恐怖分子，騷亂下中國領事被領事館的安全人員錯誤地擊斃，使中美矛盾驟然昇級。最後核危機完全解除，但中國已經掌握到傑克指揮侵入領事館的證據，要求美國引渡，但臨時總統的幕僚長擔心傑克會洩漏國家機密，企圖殺人滅口。最終傑克在同事的掩護下假死，被迫隱姓埋名遠走高飛。主要支線：一個中東人家庭為恐怖分子工作，父子、母子、夫妻之間的矛盾；反恐局內部人員的複雜關係；CTU入侵中國領事館，領事被誤殺，中美矛盾昇級。
