Once a child prodigy, Dr. Venture now fails as both a scientist and a father. Luckily, his twins, Hank and Dean, are too stupid to care. And they’ve got their vicious, macho bodyguard, Brock, looking out for them. Season 1 of The Venture Bros. brings them together as they get into all sorts of situations involving wild alligators, street ruffians, and booby traps. Brock really likes the booby traps.

The best serial cartoon (for adults)Appearing like the looking glass version of Jonny Quest mixed with The Hardy Boys, The Venture Bros. is one of the finest cartoon series for adults ever made. The show focuses on the life of Dr. Venture, his two sons (Hank and Dean) and their bodyguard Brock Samson. With a supporting cast that is just as memorable as the main characters (individuals such as Dr. Girlfriend, Henchmen 21 and 24, Sally Impossible, The Monarch, and Byron Orpheus immediately come to mind) this series has a wonderful (but quirky) sense of humour that is laced with popular culture references to the 1970s, 80s, 90s, and today in a refreshingly timeless way (in other words, the jokes are funny even if you do not catch the references and they do not grow stale after repeated viewing when you do). The characters are also complex, having solid personalities with rather in depth interactions with each other and their inner demons. This is not a show of happy endings (the creators have been known to say the show is about failure), but it is highly entertaining. This is one of, if not the, best animated series to ever be made..Score: 5/5

The Venture Bros, Both SeasonsIt is INCREDIBLE to me how any company with a property like this could just kill it off! It's like slashing the Mona Lisa! This series probably would have been Great for at least a few (or More) seasons! It was, wonderfull, brilliant, everything - has already been said by other people here. Venture Bros. Season 1 ReviewThis season was very entertaining. It was humorous and action packed. I was never really bored watching this season what so ever. The characters are funny and and the villians are hiliarious. If the show isn't showing humor its showing nice action packed fight scenes and if the show isn't giving you that comical violence its giving you that nice laugh. I highly reccomend anyone who is in to Adult Swim or Comedy Central to purchase the season. Its well worth the money and it will make you keep watching. I was so into the season when I watched the last episode that I decided I am going to get the second season. 5+ stars all the way. Venture Bros. FIANLLY !!!!!I love the Venture Bros. and when Season 2 came out on iTunes, I bought 'em with out hesitation. Season 1 is finally available and oh god I can't stop laughing. Obviously when you compare the seasons, 2's way better but that's only cause they were more familiar with tthe material and better developement. But this is still a great show, I watch all the time and it's perfect for the office when i want to unwind! Grab both seasons and sit back and love it..Score: 5/5
