For the first 20 years of his life, Sam (Bret Harrison) wondered why his parents went so easy on him. Whether it was school, sports or career choices, Sam's folks always let him get by with the least possible effort. As a result, Sam skipped college, and took a dead-end job at the local Work Bench home improvement store. Everything in his slacker world changed the day Sam turned 21 and discovered the truth: his parents sold his soul to the devil before he was even born. When Satan himself (Ray Wise) drops by to personally explain that Sam must now serve as his bounty hunter, tracking down evil souls that have escaped and returning them to Hell, Sam refuses to accept his bizarre fate. After getting a glimpse of Satan's temper, however, Sam realizes that breaking a deal with the devil has consequences that are very, very bad. Still, even while Sam is forced to do the Devil's bidding, he's determined to find a loophole in his contract, and to discover the real reason his parents were forced to make the evil deal in the first place.
On his twenty-first birthday, Sam Oliver discovers his parents sold his soul to the devil before he was born, and he must now serve as the devil's personal bounty hunter or Reaper, catching escaped souls and sending them back to Hell.

What's up with episode 6?Very entertaining show. It's the flip side of Dead Like Me, but with more flash and less irony. Fun nonetheless! Anyway, what I downloaded as episode 6, "Leon," from season 1 actually appears to be one of the most recent season 2 episodes (No Reaper Left Behind). Did this happen to anyone else? Too Good For Network TV... I Fear It's Too Good To LastIf you missed the first season, you missed something very rare: a first-rate non-reality television program! The concept is wildly original, the characters are terrific and the actors are perfect for their roles. Ray Wise (Laura Palmer's father in Twin Peaks) is wonderful as a witty, sarcastic Devil - not at all the Devil we imagine. Enough already. Stop reading reviews and download the first season. I fear there won't be a second... It's simply too good to survive on network television..Score: 5/5
Dead Like Me, Again?Although I enjoy watching Reaper, to a point, it has to be said that it is way to similar to the series "Dead Like Me". Both feature a slacker twenty-something who suddenly are appointed grim reapers in a sarcastic, ironic world. Did no one realize this is almost the same show?.Score: 3/5

I love the DevilThis has to be on of the funniest shows I've ever seen and altough this may be the funniest episode, Sock lol, it's still very funny all the way through and I would recomend it to anyone and everyone.
