Season 1 is outstanding!It combines all the best of mystery and drama with a light, witty, commedic element. The writing and story lines were all very well written and kept me interested and I think is by far the best Season. Season 2 has a slightly different twist - more like Moonlighting..Score: 5/5

80's cult tv classicThe idea was way ahead of it's time: a single, female private investigator who's only means of getting sufficient clientele is to invent a fictional male boss, eventually filled by the imposter portrayed by Pierce Brosnan. Stephanie Zymbalist played the lead Laura Holt impeccably well, and her role of the modern independent woman remains unparalleled even decades later. The ambiance is aided tremendously by an 80's film noir veneer layered on top of smart, sassy dialogue. The episodes go by in a snap, easy to see how this inspired so many knock-offs, like Moonlighting. I prefer the first season over the second. Some classic gem episodes in the third season, not yet available here on iTunes..Score: 5/5
