Larry David has it all—money, security, famous friends, a nurturing wife, a fabulous Hollywood home. So why is he so intent on making a complete mess out of his life? Just because you've made it, doesn't mean you've got it made! Taking up where the acclaimed 1999 HBO special Larry David: Curb Your Enthusiasm left off, Season One of this hilarious comedy series features vérité-style footage of Larry (playing himself) at home, at work and around town, as he gets into predicaments (many of which are self-inflicted) involving relatives, friends, actors, neighbors, business associates and even incest survivors! Reprising their roles from the comedy special are Jeff Garlin (also an executive producer) as Larry's manager Jeff Greene, and Cheryl Hines as Larry's wife Cheryl. Each episode also features appearances by a number of celebrities playing themselves, including Ted Danson, Mary Steenburgen, Richard Lewis, Kathy Griffin and others.

Highly RecommendedKnow why this show works? Because it relies on tried and true comedy writing techniques...the sort of stuff that made All in the Family a classic and Groucho Marx a comedy genius. Instead of insider humor (the main character is too cool for the world) this relies on outsider humor (the main character, Larry David, is an outsider always trying to fit in.) Great Once You Get Used To ItI didn't discover this show until recently. I have to say initially I found it funny, but not hilarious - until I watched a few more episodes. Now I can't get enough. The style is just so different from regular TV comedy - which is a good thing! - but it takes some getting used to. I also think you have to "get to know" the characters a bit before you can really appreciate the wacky humor. I have definitely turned into a Curb addict though, and recommend it to anyone who appreciates off-beat humor. I do think fair warning that the language is pretty bad and the subject matter is frequently off-color (there are very few of these episodes that I would really want to watch with my mom hehehehe). Curb Season 1Wow - went to buy this from the I-tunes store and was shocked at the price. Considering it comes with no packaging, no staff to put it through a till i'm surprised at the price. You should match the high street prices, especially considering series 1 is very old now. Someone mentioned above that you can get it for £10 or less at HMV. I though the cloud option would be cheaper. Not going to buy from here will collect from HMV and then upload to cloud.......The worst thing is Apple are damaging their profits by pricing people out from buying on I-tunes, I wonder if it's incompetence, or someone thinks it's agood idea to give business to their competition.....Don't understand it......Sort it out Apple..Score: 5/5
This is missing the DVD pilot. It's a great show, but series 1 is not the best.Larry David is funny as f**k, but the show really finds its feet around series 3. The fourth series is amazing. Buy this one on DVD for cheaper and you'll get the original HBO pilot with it too..Score: 4/5

Sort it out iTunes, or many, many customers like myself will just shop around and look elsewhere!!!
