Jemaine Clement and Bret McKenzie — a.k.a. Flight of the Conchords ("New Zealand's 4th Most Popular Folk Parody Duo") — have brought their act to New York's East Village with hopes of conquering America . . . one fan (literally) at a time. But finding someone in the U.S.A. who knows their act is about as easy as finding a kiwi nest in Central Park. In Season 1 of this irreverent musical-comedy series, cutting-edge folk-comedy performance duo Jemaine and Bret move to downtown Manhattan where they hang out, go to bohemian parties, interact with their one obsessed fan, get mugged by inept thugs, and pursue elusive women. Their innocent, misguided efforts to find romance or land a gig rarely yield dividends, but they do spawn an abundance of plaintive tunes about life, love, and the pursuit of an elusive music video.

We Like to Rock the PartyNot since Waiting for Guffman has something this creative been done in the musical comedy genre. The songs the Concords write are hilarious and they have done a much better job this season of integrating the songs within the storyline rather than tangents that don't really enhance the overall story...Murray's operatic swan song in the season two premiere is sublime...Bravo..Score: 5/5

Yes, they do talk about getting with some VERY hot women!This, is by far the best TV series I have watched in a long time and don't find it a hassle to follow. The cast, script, songs and plot of each episode are unique and hilarious. With a large amount of guest stars including Will Forte, Demetri Martin and many others. Best Show on television!I have been a huge fan of the band Flight of The Conchords for years now, but it was only about 1 year ago (When the second season came out) that I really got too deeply into the show. Having seen the duo live on numerous occassions now, I can say the songs come across much better accoustically at a concert hall, but that is my only complaint about the show. Hilarious episodes and all, I gotta say my favourite is still the premiere..Score: 5/5

New Zealand Rock's Boi !One of those shows that takes the silly day to day life of two friends trying to make it big. Brilliant!Flight of the conchords is absolutely brilliant! Extremely funny and silly, but all very clever humor. Perfect for lazy Sundays! I wouldn't say that you necessarily have to get the whole series because each episode works on its own in my opinion. However, if you want the full plot then this series is certainly worth a purchase..Score: 4/5
